Crop techniques as training pruning that modify the source/sink ratio of assimilates, might change the plant response to a CO2 increase. In this work, it was evaluated the productive response of a greenhouse sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) crop to a CO2 supply strategy linked to ventilation, and the influence of the number of stems per plant on this response. Carbon dioxide enrichment modified the dry matter vegetative/generative ratio only through the enhancement of the generative fraction. Vegetative parameters as LAI and SLA were not modified under elevated CO2 conditions. Both higher CO2 concentration and higher number of stems per plant increased yield but the interaction was not significant.
