Radiant Energy Exchange in a Corn Field
1960
Tanner, C. B. | Peterson, A. E. | Love, J R
SynopsisMeasurements of net radiant energy available for evaporation of water from soil under corn show that when corn is fully grown, the maximum evaporation may constitute 25 to 50% of the total evapotranspiration, depending upon the population and method of planting. Fully grown corn does not provide sufficient interception of radiation to assure that the potential evapotranspiration condition of a fully covered surface is realized.
