IgE mediated allergy to peanut, cow's milk and egg in children, with special reference to maternal diet
1987
Gerrard, J.W.
A retrospective study assessed the dietary habits of 19 mothers whose children had severe immunoglobulin-E mediated allergic reactions to cow's milk, egg, and/or peanuts. It is concluded that such allergies can occur in infants who were initially breast-fed. This effect is attributed to the passage of food allergens, consumed by the mothers, to the infants through breast milk.
