Ceratonia siliqua L. is a tree belonging to the family of Fabaceae. From the Middle East, the carob is an important ecologically industrial and ornamental tree. This fabaceae is known for its medicinal and therapeutic virtues such as the pharmacological activities of the phytochemical compounds founded in the biological extracts of the plant.
