Availability of Soil Water to Plants as Affected by Soil Moisture Content and Meteorological Conditions
1962
Denmead, O. T. (Owen T.) | Shaw, R. H.
SynopsisActual transpiration decreased with decreasing soil moisture content and increasing potential transpiration. Average soil suction in the root zone when the actual transpiration rate fell below the potential rate varied from 12 bars when the potential transpiration rate was 1.4 mm. per day to 0.3 bar when the potential rate was 6 to 7 mm. per day.
