Weaning and child health
1989
Wharton, B.
In this review, weaning is regarded as the process of introducing semisolid or solid foods to the breast-fed or formula-fed child so that in time those new foods contribute a substantial amount of the child's energy and nutrient intake. The physiology and natural history of weaning are considered first and the pathologic features of the process second.
