Natural farming has attracted attention due to its low environmental loading. However, research on the soil microbial community during natural farming is limited. In the present study, soil bacterial community diversity in naturally farmed and conventionally farmed apple orchards was evaluated using 16S rRNA gene sequencing as a case study. We compared diversity between the two orchards, with a focus on taxa related to increased diversity.
