CROP curves, as originally developed for application in Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, and North Dakota were represented as functions of a dimensionless unit; Fraction of Season (FOS) computed as the relative growing degree days from crop emergence to physiologic maturity. A high degree of commonality (Kansas vs. North Dakota) was obtained for resulting "mean curves" (Kcm type) for application to the unmodified Jensen-Haise equation. Agreement (North Dakota vs. Nebraska) was very good between "basal curves" (Kcb type) for application to a modified Penman equation. Agreement for Kcm curves (Eastern Colorado vs North Dakota) was good after the early vegetative period.
