Effect of alternative price and fertilizer levels on agricultural net returns: Texas High Plains
1976
Griffin, W.L. | Lacewell, R.D.
Extract: In what could be termed a new era of agriculture, in which input prices have risen dramatically and are expected to increase further and product prices fluctuate widely, the farm manager needs more planning information than ever before. this includes outlook data, price projections, and the expected impact of price changes on a particular decision. this paper provides some of these impact data by reporting the effect on per acre profit of applying a non optimum amount of nitrogen fertilizer. the study is directly applicable only to wheat, grain sorghum, and corn production on the Texas High Plains.
