The influence of temperature on the biological parameters of parasitoids vary according to species. In the present study, effect of temperature was evaluated on the development of pteromalid Trichomalopsis uziae, a pupal parasitoid of the silk worm uzi fly, Exorista bombycis. The results revealed that progeny production, sex ratio, and parent female longevity were significantly high at 25°C, while at cool temperatures of 10 and 15°C as well as the hot 35°C inhibited parasitism/ parasitoid development. Besides, the developmental duration of the parasitoid ranged between 12.70± 0.21 (30°C) and 23.60± 0.27 days (20°C).
