Carbocyclic nucleosides from a specis of Saccharothrix

Investigation of a herbicidally active fermentation broth from a species of Saccharothrix has led to the isolation of three novel nucleosides based on a carbocyclic analogue of coformycin. Two other known carbocyclic nucleosides (adecypenol and aristeromycin) were also isolated from the same fermentation.
