Effect of a Rye Winter Cover Crop on Soil Fertility and on the Succeeding Sweet Corn Crop
1962
Morgan, G. W. | Hanna, W. J.
SynopsisThe growth and N, P and K content of a rye winter cover crop were increased by fertilization. Plowing down the rye, fertilized or not, did not improve the NO₃-N and available P and K level of the soil, nor the yield and N, P, and K content of a succeeding sweet corn crop over soil without rye cover.
