Oxidative stresses attributable to elements often lead to cellular damages in plants. Being perennial, tea plants often encounter stresses, which affect growth. The present investigation was undertaken to comprehend the effect of Zn and B on growth and their involvement in developing water stress. Young plants of Camellia sinensis were treated with zinc sulfate and boric acid. Zn and B stress decrease growth and relative water content considerably but increase proline and abscisic acid contents increased.
