Twenty eight genotypes were evaluated in randomized block design for forage yield and its components viz., plant height, number of tillers, number of internodes, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, leaf: stem ratio, dry matter yield, green forage yield, crude protein and oxalic acid content. Significant differences were observed for all characters studied. Green forage yield was significantly and positively associated with dry matter yield, number of tillers, plant height, leaf width, number of internodes, leaf length and number of leaves. Dry matter yield exhibited highest positive directs effects on green forage yield as well as it showed significant and positive correlation with green forage yield. Since, the relationship between dry matter yield and green forage yield was true and positive.
