We evaluated the efficacy of Fusarium incarnatum-equiseti Species Complex (FIESC 20) isolates combined with extracts of Chenopodium ambrosioides and Enterolobium contortisiliquum on the in vitro mortality of Dactylopius opuntiae. Treatments used in the bioassays against D. opuntiae were selected using the Biological Index model. The interactions between control agents were calculated using the chi-squared test. The compatibility between FIESC 20 isolates and botanical extracts varied according to the type and concentration of the extracts. The aqueous extracts were the most compatible, whereas all hydroethanolic extracts of E. contortisiliquum were incompatibile with the fungi. Isolates URM6779 + 5% aqueous extract of E. contortisiliquum and URM6777 + 5% aqueous extract of E. contortisiliquum inflicted the highest levels of mortality and thus were judged good options for the control of D. opuntiae in vitro. However, it will be necessary to confirm their effectiveness as control agents under field conditions.
