Genealogical analysis of highly productive Holstein cows with left side displacement of the abomasum | Генеалогический анализ высокопродуктивных коров голштинской породы с левосторонним смещением сычуга

Inglés. Left-sided displacement of the abomasum (LDA) is a multifactorial pathology that reduces the economic efficiency of dairy farming. The study aim was to conduct a genealogical analysis of high-yielding Holstein cows kept at the farms of the Leningrad region, Russia, to identify the hereditary nature of LDA occurrence. The primary zooveterinary documentation of cows (n=235) selected on a case-control basis, as well as pedigrees of sires with genomic evaluation data for the DA (displacement of the abomasums) trait, served as a study material. The animals in the formed groups had genealogically confirmed ancestry up to the 4-th generation. A genealogical analysis of the animal groups showed the presence of common ancestors among the entire population of the examined cattle. Moderate inbreeding was registered in cows with LDA pathology. A common ancestor in the pedigrees of such individuals was found in the second and third generations. The negative range of the DA index was mostly inherited through the paternal line. The most frequently encountered sire in the LDA group was the bull Garfield, with an occurrence frequency of 4.7%, in the group without registered displacement it was the bull Jett (2.1%). Families with a slight predominance of LDA-free animals, such as Eureka (1.7%), Klukva (1.3%), and LDA animals, such as Arabia (1.7%), Zarya (1.3%), and Lenivaya (1.3%), were most commonly encountered. The Arabia cow family had the highest frequency of left displaced abomasum, indicating a possible predisposition to LDA development in this family. A genealogical analysis revealed that none of the lines or families had a honestly significant predominance in the groups with and without registered abomasal displacement. The data obtained from the study indicate that animals from both lines have genotypes that predispose them to LDA, with approximately equal frequency of occurrence.

Ruso. Левостороннее смещение сычуга - мультифакторная патология, снижающая экономическую эффективность молочного животноводства. Цель исследования - проведение генеалогического анализа высокопродуктивных коров голштинской породы в хозяйствах Ленинградской области для выявления наследственной природы возникновения левостороннего смещения сычуга (LDA - left-sided displacement of the abomasum). Материалом для изучения послужила первичная зооветеринарная документация коров (n=235), отобранных по принципу "случай-контроль", а также родословные быков-производителей, с данными геномной оценки по признаку DA (displacement of the abomasum). Животные в сформированных группах имели генеалогически подтвержденное происхождение до 4 ряда предков. Генеалогический анализ групп животных показал наличие общих предков среди всей популяции обследуемого скота. Зарегистрирован умеренный инбридинг у коров с патологией LDA. Общий предок в родословных таких особей встречался во втором и третьем поколениях. Отрицательный диапазон индекса DA по большей части наследовался по линии отца. Наиболее часто встречающимся производителем в группе с LDA стал бык Гарфилд, с частотой встречаемости 4,7%, в группе без регистрируемого смещения - бык Джетт (2,1%). Чаще всего встречались семейства с небольшим преобладанием животных без LDA - Эврики (1,7%), Клюквы (1,3%) и с LDA - Аравии (1,7%), Зари (1,3%), Ленивой (1,3%). Семейство коровы Аравия имело наивысшую частоту встречаемости левостороннего смещения сычуга, что свидетельствует о его возможной предрасположенности к развитию LDA. При генеалогическом анализе выяснено, что ни одна из линий или семейств не имела достоверно значимого преобладания в группах с регистрируемым смещением сычуга и без него. Полученные в результате исследований данные указывают на то, что животные обеих линий имеют генотипы, отвечающие за предрасположенность к LDA, с приблизительно равной частотой встречаемости.
