МЕЗОМАСШТАБНОЕ РАСПРЕДЕЛЕНИЕ ПИГМЕНТОВ В ПЛАНКТОНЕ СРЕДИЗЕМНОГО МОРЯ И ИХ РОЛЬ В ПОГЛОЩЕНИИ СВЕТА | Mesoscale distribution of pigments in the Mediterranean Sea plankton and their role in light absorption

Distribution of pigments in the north-western part of the Mediterranean Sea is presented. Chlorophyll «a» concentration is high-nonuniform (0.02-2.0 mg • m3). Two regions of chlorophyll «a» high concentration are found which coincide with the centres of cyclonic rotations — in the Lyons bay and north-eastern part of the Ligurian Sea. Chlorophyll concentration and the pigment index (D430/D665) are observed to be in inverse relationship over the whole studied water area. A ratio between the chlorophyll «a» concentration and the mean integral density is obtained from continuous spectra of pigments absorption in acetone extracts. It is expressed by a linear dependence, the pigments absorptivity for the visible region of the spectrum is equal to 0.015 ± 0.005 m-1 (mg chl. «a» • m-3)-1. This index is much more constant and less dependent on environmental conditions than the assimilation number, which will give a possibility to measure primary production using optic data and light absorption capacity of phytoplankton pigments.

Представлено распределение пигментов в северо-западной части Средиземного моря. Концентрация хлорофилла «а» в поверхностном слое отличалась большей неоднородностью — от 0,02 до 2,0 мг • м-3. Выявлены два района повышенной концентрации хлорофилла «а», совпадающие с центрами циклонических круговоротов — в Лионском заливе и северо-восточной части Лигурийского моря. По всей исследованной акватории прослежена обратная связь между концентрацией хлорофилла и пигментным индексом D430/D665. По непрерывным спектрам поглощения пигментов в ацетоновых экстрактах получено соотношение между концентрацией хлорофилла «а» и средней интегральной плотностью. Оно выражается прямолинейной зависимостью, коэффициент поглощения пигментов для видимой части спектра, равен 0,015 ± 0,005 м-1 • (мг хл. «а» • м-3)-1. Этот показатель является более постоянным, и менее зависящим от внешних условий, чем ассимиляционное число, что даст возможность вести измерения первичной продукции, пользуясь оптическими данными и светопоглотительной способностью пигментов фитопланктона.
