نحو تفعيل دور البحث العلمي الجامعي في التنمية الاقتصادية من وجهة نظر المراكز البحثية الجامعية ومؤسسات سوق العمل في الضفة الغربية | Tawards Activation of Role of University Scientific Research on Economic Development from point of view of University Research Centers and Labor Market Institutions in West Bank

The study aimed at identifying the ways of activation of university scientific research role on economic development from university research centers and labor market institutions perspective in West Bank; in addition to measuring the effects of the variables adopted in this study on the opinion of the sample : the university that the research center belongs to, the domain of scientific research done by the center, the number of research conducted by the center annually, the subordination of labor market institution, number of employees of labor market institution, the existence of a research and development division in labor market institutions, the work nature of labor market institution and the establishing date of labor the market institution. The population of the study comprises all the directors of research centers at Palestinian universities which add up to (87) research centers. The population also contains all the directors of the institutions related to scientific research. These institutions are the public corporations and ministries. The number of corporations is (46). A random sample of research centers directors including (45). The sample size of directors of divisions at companies and ministries equals to (64). To achieve the aim of this study, the researcher has prepared two questionnaires depending on the theoretical literature as well as the related studies. The two questionnaires were verified by a committee of referees while the reliability coefficient was inferred by adopting Cronbach alpha formula. the data were analyzed using (SPSS) . The study has been concluded by the following results: The total degree for the universities scientific research role on economic development from universities research centers perspective was medium in the domains of obstacles of scientific research encountered by universities researchers, connecting the output of universities scientific research with economic sectors needs and the planning of scientific research. The universities scientific research role on economic development from the universities research centers perspective was high in the domains of motives and goals of scientific research. That role was low in the domains of supporting scientific research and requesting universities scientific research from economic sectors. The total degree for the role of universities scientific research on economic development from labor market institutions perspective was medium in the domains of the obstacles of benefits from universities scientific research, types of benefits from the output of scientific research and the convince of the value of scientific research for labor market institutions. The role of universities scientific research on economic development from the labor market institutions perspective was low in the domains of the source of research used and benefited. Furthermore, the study has indicated clearly that there are no statically significant differences at (0.05 ≥ α) in the means of the responses concerning the role of universities scientific research on economic development from the universities research centers و perspective due to the universities that the research centers belong to and the domain of scientific research done by the center, another statically significant difference from the perspective of labor market institutions due to the subordination of labor market institution, the work nature of labor market institution, its establishing date, and due to number of the employees of labor market institution in favor of employees number more than 300. While there are statically significant differences at (0.05 ≥ α) in the means of the responses concerning the role of university scientific research on economic development from the universities research centers perspective due to the number of research accomplished by the center annually in favor of the number of research (3-6), and there are significant differences due to the existence of a division of research and development in labor market in favor of the institutions which have a division. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher recommendations to universities, labor market institutions and the government are related to where the necessity of shared goals for universities scientific research from the universities and labor market institutions perspective, so they should have to coordinate and to work in establishing plans of university scientific research. These plans should be based on economic and social problems, and recommendations related to government were in disseminating the culture of scientific research via media and in governmental institutions, to maximize the benefit from scientific research.
