Inglés. Sisyrinchium arguellesiae, a new species from Querétaro, México is described and illustrated. The new species is recognized by its flowers lasting two days and by its tepals with a white-translucent spot in the base that in the perianth looks like a central "eye".

Se describe e ilustra Sisyrinchium arguellesiae, nueva especie proveniente del estado de Querétaro, México, que se caracteriza por la presencia de flores biduas, y tépalos que presentan en la base una mancha blanco-translúcida que en el conjunto del perianto da la apariencia de un "ojo" en el centro del mismo.
