Elevers erfaringer med vurderingspraksis i kroppsøvingsfaget : En kvalitativ studie av idrettsaktive og ikke- idrettsaktive ungdommer

The purpose of this study is to create a better understanding of how students experience and understand being assessed in the subject of physical education. The study was focused specifically on the comparison of athletically active and non-athletically active students. The study will explain the possible differences in how these groups experience assessments within the subject of physical education. The participants of the study were eight 10th grade students from a school in Agder. The study’s criteria for participants included gender and athleticism as deciding factors. The method for collecting data was qualitative, including personal in-depth interviews with the participants. Through these results, there are especially experiences of formative assessment, attendance of tests and knowledge of competency goals that are forthcoming. The results show that the informant's knowledge of the assessment goals were lacking. Furthermore, the participants had somewhat divided views on feedback. Individual students expressed an interest in receiving additional and more frequent feedback, while others pointed out that the content could encompass more focus on technique and execution. It is also easily identifiable to the participants which students are athletically active or not. Better physique and skills are characteristics among students that participate in athletics. Formerly there have been little research done on athletically active vs non- athletically active students in the subject of physical education. Therefore, this work can provide certain information about the field while inspiring further research from different perspectives.
