Regeneração natural e dinâmica do componente arbustivo-arbóreo de uma floresta restaurada, Viçosa-MG | Natural regeneration and dynamics of shrub-arboreal component of a restored forest, Viçosa-MG

O conhecimento dos processos ecológicos na dinâmica de populações das plantas através do monitoramento e avaliação de áreas restauradas é importante para a definição de estratégias tais como: conservação, manejo e restauração. O objetivo foi avaliar as alterações florísticas e estruturais no componente arbóreo e no estrato de regeneração de uma floresta restaurada por meio de plantio, após 45 anos de sua implantação, em comparação com estudo realizado em 2011. Para a avaliação do estrato arbóreo, foram remedidas 16 parcelas contíguas de 25 x 25 m, registrando os indivíduos com CAP ≥ 15 cm. Em cada parcela, alocaram-se duas subparcelas de 2,0 x 2,0 m para a avaliação do estrato de regeneração, registrando os indivíduos com altura ≥ 0,5 m e DAP < 5,0 cm. Mediu se a classe sucessional e síndrome de dispersão, abertura do dossel, índices de regeneração por espécie para cada classe de tamanho de planta (RNC), obtendo o índice de regeneração natural total (RNT), entre os componentes da floresta e os levantamentos florísticos já realizados nesta região de Minas Gerais. No estrato arbóreo registrou-se 1.323 indivíduos, 109 espécies e 35 famílias, sendo 90 espécies nativas e 15 exóticas, com maior valor de importância (VI) para espécie Guarea guidonia e família Fabaceae, maior diversidade (H’= 3,46) e menor dominância ecológica (J’= 0,74), maior porcentagem da classe sucessional secundária inicial, em nível de espécie (33,02%), e de secundária tardia, em nível de indivíduos (38,32%), e predomínio de síndrome de dispersão zoocórica. A área basal foi de 44,139 m2/ha, e a altura média de 13 m, variando de 2,0 m a 32 m. Em relação à dinâmica, a taxa de mortalidade superou a de ingresso, houve um pequeno decréscimo na área basal de 2011 para 2016, e acréscimo no volume total. As espécies secundárias iniciais e tardias prevaleceram e as pioneiras apresentaram tendência de decréscimo populacional, mostrando que estão saindo do sistema, e a floresta avançando na sucessão. Guarea guidonia apresentou maior VI, assim como a família Fabaceae. Os índices de diversidade de Shannon e equabilidade não alteraram. A distribuição diamétrica seguiu o padrão “J invertido” esperado para florestas inequiâneas. No estrato de regeneração registrou-se 526 indivíduos, 91 espécies e 34 famílias, sendo 77 espécies nativas e oito exóticas, com maior VI para Anadenanthera peregrina e família Fabaceae, maior diversidade (H’= 3,68) e uniformidade (J’= 0,82), maior porcentagem da classe sucessional secundária inicial, em nível de espécie (38,46%), e em nível de indivíduos (50,0%) e predomínio de síndrome de dispersão zoocórica. Anadenanthera peregrina se destacou com a maior taxa de regeneração natural nas classes RNC1 e RNC2 e na classe RNC3, o destaque foi para Guarea guidonia com 12,91%. Na análise da regeneração natural total Anadenanthera peregrina foi a espécie que mais se destacou, com 10,84% do total de indivíduos. Os índices de Shannon e equabilidade foram similares nas três classes, com destaque na RNC3 com (H’= 3,4) e (J’= 0,89). A abertura do dossel obteve média de 23,93% e o índice de área foliar de 2,73 m2 de componentes do dossel / m2 de área do solo. Os resultados encontrados mostraram que a área em estudo é similar a uma floresta em estágio avançado de sucessão, apresentando abundância de espécies secundárias iniciais e tardias. Verificou-se, também, que em função do avanço sucessional da floresta, ocorreram alterações na composição florística da área ao longo do período monitorado. A espécie exótica invasora Archontophoenix cunninghamiana presente na área, torna-se um problema, necessitando o manejo desta espécie para conservação da floresta. A avaliação e o monitoramento de florestas restauradas corrigem problemas, definindo o manejo que garantem o sucesso da restauração de florestas.

The knowledge of ecological processes in the dynamics of plant populations through the monitoring and evaluation of restored areas is important for the definition of strategies such as conservation, management and restoration. The objective was to evaluate the floristic and structural changes in the arboreal component and in the regeneration stratum of a forest restored by planting, after 45 years of its implantation, as compared to that carried out in 2011. For the evaluation of the arboreal stratum, 16 contiguous plots of 25 x 25 m were remediated, registering individuals with CAP ≥ 15 cm. In each plot, two subplots of 2.0 x 2.0 m were allocated for the evaluation of the regeneration stratum, with individuals with height ≥ 0.5 m and DAP <5,0 cm. It was measured if the successional class and dispersion syndrome, canopy opening, regeneration indexes per species for each plant size class (RNC), obtaining the total natural regeneration index (RNT), between forest components and floristic surveys already carried out in this region of Minas Gerais. In the arboreal stratum, 1,323 individuals, 109 species and 35 families, 90 native species and 15 exotic species, with greater value of importance (VI) were found for Guarea guidonia and Fabaceae family, greater diversity (H '= 3.46) and lower ecological dominance (J '= 0.74), higher percentage of the initial secondary successional class, species level (33.02%), and late secondary, individuals level (38.32%), and predominance of zoochemical dispersion syndrome. The basal area was 44,139 m2 / ha, and the average height of 13 m, ranging from 2.0 m to 32 m. Regarding the dynamics, the mortality rate exceeded that of admission, there was a small decrease in the basal area from 2011 to 2016, and an increase in the total volume. The early and late secondary species prevailed and the pioneers showed a tendency of population decrease, showing that they are leaving the system, and the forest advancing in succession. Guarea guidonia presented higher VI, as did the Fabaceae family. The Shannon diversity indexes and equability did not change. The diametric distribution followed the "inverted J" pattern expected for unequal forests. In the regeneration stratum, 526 individuals, 91 species and 34 families were found, of which 77 were native and eight exotic species, with higher VI for Anadenanthera peregrina and Fabaceae family, greater diversity (H '= 3.68) and uniformity (J' = 0.82), a higher percentage of the initial secondary successional class at the species level (38.46%), and at the individuals level (50.0%), and a predominance of zoocoric dispersion syndrome. Anadenanthera peregrina stood out with the highest natural regeneration rate in the RNC1 and RNC2 classes and in the RNC3 class, the highlight was Guarea guidonia with 12.91%. In the analysis of total natural regeneration Anadenanthera peregrina was the most prominent species, with 10.84% of the total number of individuals. The Shannon indices and equability were similar in the three classes, with highlight in the RNC3 with (H '= 3,4) and (J' = 0,89). The canopy opening averaged 23.93% and the leaf area index of 2.73 m2 of canopy components / m2 of soil area. The results showed that the study area is similar to a forest in an advanced stage of succession, showing an abundance of early and late secondary species. It was also verified that due to the successional progression of the forest, changes occurred in the floristic composition of the area during the monitored period. The invasive exotic species Archontophoenix cunninghamiana present in the area, becomes a problem, necessitating the management of this species for forest conservation. The evaluation and monitoring of restored forests corrects problems, defining the management that ensures the success of the restoration of forests.
