Estudos histológico, histoquímico e histoquantitativo de células endócrinas do estômago e intestino médio de peixes (Teleostei) de água doce, com diferentes hábitos alimentares | Studies histochemistry and histoquantitativo of endocrine cells of the stomach and medium intestine of fish (Teleostei) of fresh water, with different alimentary habits

Células endócrinas do sistema neuroendócrino gastroenteropancreático desempenham diversas funções na fisiologia da digestão, no entanto estudos a respeito destes tipos celulares em peixes de água doce nativos são escassos, além de servirem como subsídios morfofisiológicos para pesquisas sobre nutrição, com conseqüente aumento da produção da piscicultura no Brasil. Foram utilizadas três espécies de Teleostei de água doce com diferentes hábitos alimentares os quais foram estudados a organização estrutural microscópica da parede de diferentes regiões do tubo digestivo, a presença, determinação da média e distribuição de células endócrinas nos diversos segmentos do tubo digestivo. Os espécimes foram coletados, identificados e submetidos aos procedimentos de rotina para obtenção dos constituintes do aparelho digestório, processamento do material para inclusão e coloração em parafina. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram que a estrutura da parede do estômago e intestino médio das espécies estudadas não apresentou diferenças significativas entre a quantidade de células argirófilas no estômago (0,0021 células/mm 2 ) e intestino médio proximal (0,00045 células/mm 2 ) e distal (0,0007 células/mm 2 ) das espécies, nem entre as espécies estudadas. Contudo, há necessidade de mais estudos sobre o sistema neuroendócrino gastroenteropancreático, a fim de embasar futuras pesquisas na área da filogenia, fisiologia, morfologia, patologia e nutrição.

Endocrine cells of the gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine system carry out several functions in the physiology of the digestion, however studies regarding these cellular types in fish of fresh water native are scarce, besides they serve as morpho-physiological subsidies for researches about nutrition, with consequent increase of the production of the fish farming in Brazil. Three species of Teleostei of fresh water were used with different alimentary habits which they were studied the microscopic structural organization of the wall of different areas of the alimentary canal, the presence, determination of the average and distribution of endocrine cells in the several segments of the alimentary canal. The specimens were collected, identified and submitted to the ixroutine procedures for obtaining of the digestory apparatus constitutives, processing of the material for imbedding in paraffin and coloration. The obtained results evidenced that the structure of the wall of the stomach and medium intestine of the studied species didn't present significant differences with the amount of argirophil cells in the stomach (0,0021 cells/mm 2 ) and proximal medium intestine (0,00045 cells/mm 2 ) and distal medium intestine (0,0007 cells/mm 2 ) of the species, nor enter the studied species. However, there is need of more studies on the system neuroendocryne gastroenteropancreatyc, in order to base future researches in the area of the phylogenia, physiology, morphology, pathology and nutrition.
