Como parte de la integración entre el Sistema Nacional de Áreas de Conservación y las comunidades aledañas a las zonas protegidas, se presenta este material divulgativo, cuyo objetivo es familiarizar a la sociedad con las especies de animales que se protegen dentro del Parque Nacional La Cangreja. Está destinado a estudiantes, personal funcionario y público en general, que desea conocer sobre la diversidad de anfibios y reptiles presentes en el dicho parque. Este material pretende ser una herramienta útil en el aprendizaje del tema ambiental en las comunidades locales y los visitantes. Se incluye una lista de las principales especies observadas en el parque y los alrededores; pero se reconoce que es posible que se encuentren más especies que no han sido detectadas aún. Se incluye información de la familia, el tamaño, la coloración, el hábitat y lugares donde usualmente se puede observar, la reproducción y fotografías de cada especie.

As part of the integration between the National System of Conservation Areas and the communities surrounding the protected areas, this informative material is presented, whose objective is to familiarize society with the animal species that are protected within La Cangreja National Park. It is intended for students, civil servants and the general public, who want to know about the diversity of amphibians and reptiles present in the park. This material is intended to be a useful tool in learning about environmental issues in local communities and visitors. A list of the main species observed in and around the park is included; but it is recognized that it is possible that more species are found that have not yet been detected. Information on the family, size, coloration, habitat and places where it can usually be observed, reproduction and photographs of each species is included.
