Interlaboratory Proficiency Test 10/2021 - Wastewater and soil metal analyses

Interlaboratory Proficiency Test 10/2021 Proftest SYKE carried out the proficiency test for analysis of metals and mercury in wastewaters and soil in October-November 2021. In total, there were 26 participants in the PT. The measurands for the synthetic sample, industrial and municipal wastewater samples as well as soil sample were Al, As, B, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Ti, V, and Zn. Also, N and P were analysed for the soil sample. In total, 93 % of the results evaluated with z scores were satisfactory when total deviation of 10–35 % from the assigned value was accepted. Of the results evaluated with En scores, 82 % were satisfactory. Basically, either the metrologically traceable concentration or the robust mean, the mean or the median of the results reported by the participants was used as the assigned value for measurands. Laboratorioiden välinen pätevyyskoe 10/2021 Proftest SYKE järjesti loka-marraskuussa 2021 pätevyyskokeen laboratorioille, jotka määrittävät metalleja ja elohopeaa jätevesistä ja maasta. Pätevyyskokeessa määritettiin synteettisistä näytteistä, teollisuuden ja viemärilaitoksen jätevesinäytteistä sekä maasta testisuureet Al, As, B, Ba, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, S, Sb, Se, Ti, V ja Zn. Lisäksi maasta määritetiin N ja P. Pätevyyskokeeseen osallistui yhteensä 26 laboratoriota. Koko aineistossa oli 93 % hyväksyttäviä tuloksia z-arvoilla arvioituna, kun tulosten sallittiin poiketa vertailuarvosta 10–35 %. Tuloksista, jotka arvioitiin En-arvoilla, hyväksyttyjä oli 82 %. Testisuureen vertailuarvona käytettiin metrologisesti jäljitettävää pitoisuutta tai osallistujien raportoimien tulosten robustia keskiarvoa, keskiarvoa tai mediaania.
