Revision of Carpenter's "Catalogue of the collection of Mazatlan shells, in the British Museum, collected by Frederick Reigen" (London : Printed by order of the Trustees [of the British Museum], 1857), which describes the collection deposited in the British Museum. This edition has an additional preface and also describes duplicate collections of shells made up from leftovers of the Reigen Collection and sold by Carpenter.
