Inglés. There exist many studies about the Nicaraguan Caribbean generated from different academic centers, particular institutions and interests. This situation created the need to elaborate the present investigation of the existing cultural studies about the peoples of the Nicaraguan Caribbean Coast. The inventory and its exposition provide information about the located bibliography and identifies possible areas of research; giving in this way support and encouragement to new cultural, archaeological, and creative investigations, as well pertinent translations that will serve the same purpose.

De allí la necesidad de elaborar esta investigación de los estudios culturales existentes sabre los pueblos de la Costa Caribe de Nicaragua. Este inventario y su exposición brindan la información acerca de la bibliografía localizada y las posibles áreas de intervención para el impulso de nuevas investigaciones culturales, arqueológicas, creativas, así como traducciones pertinentes.
