Evaluation of various forms of the Caucasian pear (P. caucasica Fed.) for breeding for decorative effect | Оценка различных форм груши кавказской (P. caucasica Fed.) для селекции на декоративность

Inglés. The morphological characteristics of 93 P. caucasica Fed. forms collected in various Caucasus regions are explored and described. The research places are the collection gardens of the Maykop Experimental Station – a branch of the N. I. Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources (VIR) in 2021-2023 in accordance with modern methods of studying and assessing the decorative properties of research objects. Twenty-two accessions were identified, including those with the highest total decorative score, and accessions with lower scores, but having one or more attractive decorative features. The studied Caucasian pear accessions having valuable decorative qualities to varying degrees are revealed. Narrow pyramidal crown (index 2.16) is characteristic for Kasp-69-59; rounded crown (index 0.88) – 67-Chr-249, 67-B-208, Ard-69-18; large flowers – Ter-69-77, 67-Ku-139, 67-BZ-37, B-69-111, 67-BZ-67, B-69-87, Kasp-69-59; abundant flowering – P. caucasica Fed. № 2, P. caucasica Fed. №3, P. caucasica Fed. №6, B-69-88, L-69-98, L-69-101, Shali-69-36; attractive leaf appearance, high fungal diseases resistance – Arg-69-34, 67-B-190, Ur-69-1, 67-Chr-250, B-69-78; anthocyanin coloration of fruit integuments – P. caucasica Fed. №4 and №5, B-69-108, Kasp-69-59. Tree frost resistance is an important sign for the usability in ornamental gardening. This property was noted in the accessions of P. caucasica Fed. №4, B-69-78, Ard-69-18. Accessions B-69-90, B-69-78 had edible sweet fruits. Selected Caucasian pear forms keep decorative properties during the growing season. The forms B-69-88, B-69-78, Kasp-69-59, L-69-96, 67-Ku-127 can have the greatest value for breeding in terms of the total scoring and the presence of valuable features.

Ruso. Приведены результаты изучения морфологических признаков 93 форм Pyrus caucasica Fed., собранных в различных регионах Кавказа. Работу проводили в коллекционных садах Майкопской ОС – Филиала ВИР в 2021-2023 гг. в соответствии с современными методиками изучения и оценки объектов исследования. Выделены 22 образца, в их числе имеющие наиболее высокую суммарную оценку баллов декоративности, и образцы с более низкими показателями, но имеющие один или несколько привлекательных декоративных признаков. Изученным образцам груши кавказской в различной степени присущи ценные декоративные качества: узкопирамидальная крона (индекс 2,16) – Касп-69-59; округлая крона (индекс 0,88) – 67-Чр-249, 67-Б-208, Ард-69-18; крупные цветки – Тер-69-77, 67-Ку-139, 67-БЗ-37, Б-69-111, 67-БЗ-67, Б-69-87, Касп-69-59; обильное цветение – P. caucasica Fed. № 2, P. caucasica Fed. № 3, P. caucasica Fed. № 6, Б-69-88, Л-69-98, Л-69-101, Шали-69-36; привлекательный внешний вид листьев, отсутствие поражения грибными болезнями – Арг-69-34, 67-Б-190, Ур-69-1, 67-Чр-250, Б-69-78; антоциановая покровная окраска плодов – P. caucasica Fed. № 4 и №5, Б-69-108, Касп-69-59. Важным признаком для использования в декоративном садоводстве является морозоустойчивость растений. Это свойство отмечено у образцов P. caucasica Fed. № 4, Б-69-78, Ард-69-18. Образцы Б-69-90, Б-69-78 имеют съедобные сладкие плоды. Выделенные формы груши кавказской сохраняют декоративность в течение вегетационного периода. Наибольшую ценность для селекции по сумме баллов и наличию ценных признаков могут иметь формы Б-69-88, Б-69-78, Касп-69-59, Л-69-96, 67-Ку-127.
