Uso de productos naturales provenientes de plantas para el control de patógenos fúngicos que afectan el cultivo y la poscosecha de frutillas y duraznos | Use of natural plant products for the control of fungal pathogens affecting the crop and postharvest of strawberries and peaches

Con el método de difusión en agar, se determinó el efecto sobre los géneros Botrytis, Colletotrichum y Monilinia. El ensayo de volátiles se evaluaron 15 AE contra los principales patógenos, así como contra Rhizopus y Fusarium. Los resultados arrojaron que 15 extractos fijos y 11 AE lograron la inhibición de al menos uno de los hongos de interés. Los patógenos fueron inhibidos por al menos un extracto vegetal. Los extractos más promisorios resultaron ser: H de R. rugosum fl, Ac de S. californicus rz, H de P. acuminata, H de P. madagascariensis, DCM de P. madagascariensis y DCM de P. neochilus. Los AE de D. ambrosioides, P. graveolens, L. nobilis, M. citrina, L. alba y L. turbinata lograron la mejor performance de inhibición contra el panel bajo estudio. En el ensayo a campo en frutilla var. Cabrillo se encontraron diferencias significativas en el número de frutos, acidez y color para los tratamientos planteados. En poscosecha para B. cinerea en la var. San Andreas de frutillas, señalaron que el extracto de P. acuminata y DCM de P. madagascariensis se comportaron igual al control químico, pero no frente a C. nymphae. En durazno var. Flordaking, ninguno de los tratamientos se comportó como el control químico, alcanzando el AE de P. graveolans valores intermedios. Mediante la técnica de CCD se caracterizaron los extractos que inhibieron totalmente al menos a un patógeno. Para los AE, la técnica de CG-EM arrojó los porcentajes de los distintos compuestos que posiblemente sean los responsables de su actividad.

Using the agar diffusion method, the effect on the genera Botrytis, Colletotrichum and Monilinia was determined. The volatile assay evaluated 15 EOs against the main pathogens, as well as against Rhizopus and Fusarium. The results showed that 15 fixed extracts and 11 EOs achieved inhibition of at least one of the fungi of interest. Pathogens were inhibited by at least one plant extract. The most promising extracts proved to be: H from R. rugosum fl, Ac from S. californicus rz, H from P. acuminata, H from P. madagascariensis, DCM from P. madagascariensis and DCM from P. neochilus. The ECs of D. ambrosioides, P. graveolens, L. nobilis, M. citrina, L. alba and L. turbinata achieved the best inhibition performance against the panel under study. In the field trial on Cabrillo strawberry, significant differences were found in fruit number, acidity and color for the treatments. In postharvest for B. cinerea on strawberry var. San Andreas, they indicated that the extract of P. acuminata and DCM of P. madagascariensis behaved the same as the chemical control, but not against C. nymphae. In peach var. Flordaking, none of the treatments behaved like the chemical control, with the EO of P. graveolans reaching intermediate values. Extracts that totally inhibited at least one pathogen were characterized using the CCD technique. For the ECs, the GC-MS technique yielded the percentages of the different compounds possibly responsible for their activity.
