Fenología de la floración del aguacate cv. Hass en el municipio de Villamaría, Caldas

spa:Para el año 2021 se reportaron en Colombia 31.518 hectáreas sembradas con aguacate ‘Hass’, 5.000 hectáreas más que lo registrado en 2020, así mismo, Colombia aumentó sus exportaciones en más del 50% en este mismo periodo de tiempo, indicando el gran potencial del cultivo en el país. Pese a estas cifras, el país no cuenta aún con un acompañamiento técnico adecuado que favorezca la conservación de las áreas existentes y ayude a potencializar las áreas futuras, debido a la escaza información que se tiene sobre el comportamiento ecofisiológico del aguacate ‘Hass’ en las condiciones en las que se cultiva en Colombia; por tanto, se hace necesario adelantar investigaciones que permitan avanzar y aportar en este aspecto. Este estudio se llevó a cabo en la finca el Tronío en el municipio de Villamaría (Caldas) a 2.300 m de altura, en árboles de aguacate ‘Hass’ de 8 años de edad. Para las evaluaciones se eligieron seis árboles de forma aleatoria, se marcaron 4 ramas por árbol considerando su orientación cardinal. En cada rama se marcaron tanto inflorescencias como flores para el seguimiento fenológico y otras variables asociadas. Así mismo, se llevó un registro de las variables climáticas más influyentes en el desarrollo del cultivo durante el tiempo de estudio. La información obtenida contó con análisis de varianza y pruebas de promedio tipo Duncan (p≤0.05) por medio del software estadístico PROG GLM de SAS (SAS Institute. Cary N. C. 1992) versión 9.4. No se encontraron diferencias estadísticas para las variables fenología de la floración, tipo de inflorescencia, retención de frutos entre los puntos cardinales . Las unidades de calor acumuladas tuvieron valores más altos en los cuadrantes sur (S) y norte (N), así mismo, se destaca que las aperturas florales tuvieron un traslape entre ellas y que la temperatura ambiental influyó en el tiempo transcurrido para el cambio de etapas fenológicas. Estos resultados revelan la necesidad de ahondar en investigaciones que permitan un mejor acompañamiento técnico para el aguacate ‘Hass’, en las condiciones actuales en las que se cultiva en Colombia.

Despite these figures, the country still does not have adequate technical support that favors the conservation of existing areas and helps potentiate future areas, due to the scant information available on the ecophysiological behavior of the 'Hass' avocado in the conditions in which it is grown in Colombia; therefore, it is necessary to carry out investigations that allow progress and contribute in this aspect. This study was carried out at the El Tronío farm in the municipality of Villamaría (Caldas) at an altitude of 2,300 m, on 8-year-old 'Hass' avocado trees. For the evaluations, six trees were chosen randomly, 4 branches per tree were marked considering their cardinal orientation. In each branch, both inflorescences and flowers were marked for phenological monitoring and other associated variables. Likewise, a record of the most influential climatic variables in the development of the crop was kept during the study time. The information obtained counted with analysis of variance and Duncan type average tests (p≤0.05) through the statistical software PROG GLM of SAS (SAS Institute. Cary N. C. 1992) version 9.4. No statistical differences were found for the variables phenology of flowering, type of inflorescence, fruit retention, the accumulated heat units had higher values in the southern (S) and northern (N) quadrants, likewise, it stands out that the floral openings had an overlap between them and that the environmental temperature influenced the time elapsed for the change of phenological stages.
