Reaching 309,572 farmers (50.6% female) in 36 months, more farmers devoted land resources to vegetable production during the period of MicroVeg intervention, yielding a significant increase in land area by 250%. Tables show comparisons before and after project implementation. Research focuses on scaling up advancements in indigenous vegetables production to increase traditional vegetable yields while preserving soil and water ecosystems, as well as conserving fertilizer costs. In Nigeria, 881 teachers were trained, with an increase in student participation from 68,000 to 82,713 students, as of March 2017.
