Process Improvement Study with the Help of Quality Circles in a Particle Board Factory
2024
Saglam, Batuhan | Gedik, Tarik
The way to reduce quality and cost in production enterprises can be achieved to a large extent with continuous operation studies. Increasing competition risks in the forest products industry; The decrease in exports, which is more robust, more value-added, and especially the formaldehyde release is kept low, causing less harm to human health, ensures continuity in sales. With this inclusive, quality circle study, the problem of fiber restriction blockage after melamine urea formaldehyde fibers used in export production by the particle board factory was investigated. Within the scope of the study, solutions are produced from the kaleite circles with the brainstorming technique. Some chemical lines in the gluing zone were revised and the equipment used was backed up. With the reflection of the work in life, the downtime in production, which is 360 minutes on average per month, has been reduced to 10-15 minutes. A monthly average capacity of 441 m³ was used in production.
