Orelha rudimentar congênita em caprinos no Brasil: descritores homogêneos e distribuição geográfica de ecotipo Nambi no Piauí.

Resumo: A orelha rudimentar é uma herança genética de dominância incompleta descrita em caprinos. No Brasil, costuma-se associar a orelha curta (< 8 cm) à um ecotipo de prevalência no semiárido conhecido como Nambi. A pesquisa buscou conhecer a distribuição geográfica deste ecotipo, bem como verificar a homogeneidade da dispersão da métrica comprimento de orelha (CO, cm) nas regiões do Piauí. Assim, verificou-se a disseminação de Nambi em todas as regiões do Piauí. O CO não apresentou diferença pelo teste SNK (P>0,05), enquanto outras medidas corporais diferiram por região. Pela ACP, pode-se ver o com- ponente 2 (78% CO) isolando a região do Alto Gurguéia, região de expansão agrícola onde os caprinos vem perdendo área para o cultivo. A Nambi encontra-se bem distribuída e escassa em todo o Piauí, sendo o comprimento de orelha (cm) um indicador homogêneo que pode ser usado em futuro estudo populacional. Summary: Rudimentary ear is a genetic inheritance of incomplete dominance described in goats. In Brazil, it is customary to associate the short ear (< 8 cm) with an ecotype of prevalence in the semi-arid region known as Nambi. The research in five territories of the State of Piauí of the goat Nambi sought to know the geographic distribution of this ecotype, as well as to verify the homogeneity of the dispersion of the metric ear length (CO, cm) in the Territories. Thus, the occurrence of Nambi was sparse in all the terri- tories surveyed. CO showed no difference by SNK-Student Newman, while other body measurements differed by region. In the ACP, component 2 can be seen isolating the Alto Gurguéia region, a region of agricultural expansion. Nambi is well distributed and scarce throughout Piauí, and the ear length (cm) is a homogeneous indicator that can be used in futures population study.
