Aktionsprogramm Ambrosia in Deutschland - Status Quo und Ausblick | The Action Programme Ambrosia in Germany – State of the art and future prospects

Die Beifußblättrige Ambrosie (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) ist ein Neophyt aus Nordamerika, der sich in verschiedenen europäischen Ländern ausgebreitet hat und sich in den letzten Jahren auch in Deutschland verstärkt ausbreitet. Wegen der negativen Auswirkungen auf die Landwirtschaft und die menschliche Gesundheit gilt die Art als unerwünscht. Eine vom Julius Kühn-Institut koordinierte interdisziplinäre Arbeitsgruppe hat 2007 ein Aktionsprogramm Ambrosia begründet, mit dem die Ausbreitung eingeschränkt werden soll. Im Rahmen des Aktionsprogramms wurden Daten zum Vorkommen der Art zusammengestellt, Bestände bekämpft und die Öffentlichkeit über die Gefahren informiert. Die Beifußblättrige Ambrosie ist in Deutschland lückig verbreitet und kommt überwiegend im Süden und in Brandenburg vor. Eine realistische Chance zur Zurückdrängung der Art scheint zu bestehen. Die bisherigen Anstrengungen dazu reichen aber noch nicht aus. Eine Intensivierung der Bemühungen und ein einheitliches Vorgehen in allen Bundesländern ist dafür nötig.

Inglés. Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia) originally from North America occurs as an alien species in several European countries. In Germany it has spread only recently. Because of its negative impact on agriculture and human health, further spread is undesired. At the Julius Kühn-Institute, Federal Research Centre for Cultivated Plants an “Interdisciplinary working group Ambrosia” has launched an Action Programme Ambrosia early in 2007 in order to prevent further spread of this alien plant. First results are presented: Monitoring in several Federal States of Germany has shown that most stands of this plant are small. Larger stands are mostly found in Southern Germany and in Brandenburg. Management and control have taken place and led to the destruction of many ragweed plants. In order to successfully halt the spread of the species, however, the action programme has to become more efficient and has to be followed in all Federal States.
