The last half century has seen a growth in the concept of regeneration in urban development. We are talking about the transformation of degraded urban areas, namely gentrification. The main method and means of solving the research questions is to analyze contemporary urban areas through gentrification. The gentrification process is usually the result of an influx of high-income people from neighboring cities and regions, making the area more attractive. The subject of the paper is the revitalization of urbanized areas, considered in terms of the importance of degraded areas and objects that require adaptation, protection and creative measures in this process.
