Estudio del potencial turístico del distrito de Colcamar, departamento de Amazonas, Perú | Study of the tourism potential of the district of Colcamar, department of Amazonas, Peru

Español; castellano. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el potencial turístico del distrito de Colcamar, ubicado en el departamento de Amazonas, Perú. La investigación fue descriptiva mediante aplicación de encuestas, organización de talleres y de inspecciones oculares mediante salidas de campo. Se encuestaron a 484 personas en el distrito de Colcamar y cinco de sus anexos. Se realizaron seis talleres participativos con pobladores locales y actores involucrados con el turismo local como autoridades y la Asociación de Turismo ASOTUR. Los principales resultados indicaron que la mayoría de encuestados creen que Colcamar sí puede ser un destino turístico de interés, cuyos principales atractivos son sus sitios arqueológicos, sus paisajes, sus bosques y sus fiestas tradicionales. Además, los pobladores indicaron que podrían ofrecer a los visitantes los servicios de guías turísticos, dar paseos a caballo, vender artesanías y comidas típicas. Se concluye que el distrito de Colcamar presenta un potencial turístico debido los sitios arqueológicos de Sholón, Puemal, Chamalca y Pucasiugo y a sus paisajes naturales que presenta. Además, los pobladores expresaron mucho interés de participar en las actividades turísticas que se desarrollen en el distrito de Colcamar.

Inglés. The objective of this study was to evaluate the tourism potential of the Colcamar district, located in the department of Amazonas, Peru. The research was descriptive through the application of surveys, organization of workshops and ocular inspections through field trips. A total of 484 people were surveyed in the district of Colcamar and five of its annexes. Six participatory workshops were held with local people and stakeholders involved in local tourism, such as authorities and the Tourism Association ASOTUR. The main results indicated that the majority of those surveyed believe that Colcamar can be a tourist destination of interest, whose main attractions are its archeological sites, its landscapes, its forests, and its traditional festivals. In addition, locals indicated that they could offer visitors the services of tour guides, horseback riding, and the sale of handicrafts and traditional foods. The conclusion is that the district of Colcamar has tourism potential due to the archeological sites of Sholón, Puemal, Chamalca and Pucasiugo and its natural landscapes. In addition, the villagers expressed great interest in participating in tourism activities in the district of Colcamar.
