Óleos funcionais em dietas de frangos de corte, matrizes e progênie

Resumo: A utilização de antibióticos promotores de crescimento (APC) nas dietas de matrizes e frangos de corte é uma estratégia que permite atingir elevados índices produtivos e sanitários. Porém, limitações no uso dos APC têm forçado a indústria e centros de pesquisas a buscarem produtos alternativos que possam substituir os APC. Os óleos funcionais (OF) já são utilizados como aditivos e podem exercer tal função. O objetivo foi avaliar a substituição dos antibióticos promotores de crescimento por óleos funcionais nas dietas de matrizes e da progênie, sobre o desempenho produtivo e reprodutivo da matriz e os efeitos na progênie e em aves desafiadas. Foram realizados três experimentos. No experimento 1, foram alojadas 16400 fêmeas e 1722 machos da linhagem Ross AP 95 divididos em dois aviários, sendo o aviário 1 - Tratamento controle com a adição de APC e o aviário 2 - Tratamento com OF. Para o experimento, foi contabilizado os ovos totais produzidos, os ovos incubáveis, os percentuais de fertilidade, eclosão e eclodibilidade. O peso do pintinho, peso do ovo, percentual de gema, percentual de albúmen, espessura da casca, embriodiagnóstico e a peroxidação lipídica da gema também foram avaliados. A análise estatística foi realizada através de regressão logística, utilizando o procedimento GENMOD do programa SAS. Houve efeito negativo do uso dos OF (p<0,05) para a produção de ovos totais em algumas semanas e nas primeiras semanas para ovos incubáveis; nas semanas intermediárias e finais houve efeito positivo da utilização dos OF na produção de ovos incubáveis. Houve efeito positivo do uso dos OF (p<0,05) para fertilidade, eclosão, eclodibilidade, embriodiagnóstico e espessura da casca. Para peso do ovo e peso do pintinho houve efeito negativo (p<0,05) do uso dos OF em algumas semanas. Houve efeito linear decrescente para os valores de malonaldeído das gemas de ovos que receberam OF. No experimento 2, foram alojados 1440 pintos distribuídos em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2 x 2 (dieta materna suplementada ou não com óleos funcionais vs dieta da progênie suplementada ou não com óleos funcionais) totalizando 4 tratamentos, 9 repetições e 36 unidades experimentais com 40 aves cada. Os tratamentos consistiram de: Tratamento A: Dieta materna controle com bacitracina metileno dissalicilato + dieta da progênie controle com enramicina, Tratamento B: Dieta materna controle com bacitracina metileno dissalicilato + dieta da progênie com óleos funcionais, Tratamento C: Dieta materna com óleos funcionais + dieta da progênie controle com enramicina e Tratamento D: Dieta materna com óleos funcionais + dieta da progênie com óleos funcionais. A análise estatística dos dados foi realizada pelo procedimento GLM do software SAS. A suplementação com óleos funcionais resultou em desempenho produtivo semelhante aos 42 dias de idades. Houve interação entre os tratamentos para os valores de DPPH (p<0,05). A suplementação de óleos funcionais na dieta materna ou na dieta da progênie melhorou a atividade antioxidante. Aves provenientes de matrizes suplementadas com óleos funcionais apresentaram maior (p<0,05) peso de carcaça e peso de coxa aos 42 dias de idade. A suplementação da dieta da progênie com óleos funcionais reduziu (p<0,05) o rendimento da carcaça dos frangos ao abate, independente da suplementação materna. Não houve efeito significativo (p>0,05) dos tratamentos para o rendimento de cortes nobres e deposição de gordura. A qualidade e a estabilidade oxidativa da carne in natura e armazenada não foi alterada pela suplementação de óleos funcionais (p>0,05) na dieta materna ou da progênie. No experimento 3, foram distribuídas 640 aves em um delineamento inteiramente casualizado em esquema fatorial 2x4 (com e sem desafio vs 4 dietas) totalizando 8 tratamentos e 8 repetições de 10 aves cada. As dietas consistiram de: Dieta basal isenta de APC e anticoccidiano, dieta basal com APC I (Salinomicina) + óleos funcionais, dieta basal com APC II (Enramicina) + óleos funcionais e dieta basal + Óleos Funcionais. Aos 21 dias de idade, foi avaliado o desempenho produtivo e sacrificadas 16 aves/tratamento para avaliação da saúde intestinal e expressão de citocinas inflamatórias. A análise estatística dos dados foi realizada pelo procedimento GLM do software SAS. Aves desafiadas apresentaram menor (p<0,05) peso vivo e ganho de peso, menor (p<0,05) profundidade de cripta do duodeno e menor (p<0,05) largura de cripta no jejuno quando comparadas com o tratamento controle. Houve uma interação (p<0,05) entre desafio e dieta para a relação número de criptas:número de vilos, onde aves criadas sobre a cama nova e suplementadas com dietas isentas de aditivos apresentaram maior número de criptas em relação ao número de vilos. Aves desafiadas apresentaram menor (p<0,05) quantidade de células PCNA positivas e aves suplementadas com APC I+OF apresentaram maior contagem de células PCNA positivas quando comparadas com as demais dietas. Aves que receberam a dieta controle e a dieta com óleos funcionais apresentaram maior (p<0,05) concentrações de TNF- ? quando comparadas com as aves que receberam dieta com APC I+OF e dieta APC II+ OF. A substituição dos promotores de crescimento por óleos funcionais nas dietas das matrizes pesadas e na dieta da progênie é uma alternativa viável, porém mais estudos precisam ser realizados para entender o funcionamento dos aditivos promotores e dos óleos funcionais na dieta de aves criadas em condições de desafio sanitário. Abstract: The use of antibiotic growth promoters (AGP) in broiler diets and broiler breeders' diets is a strategy that allows high production and sanitary indices to be achieved. However, limitations in the use of AGP have forced industry and research centers to seek alternative products that can replace AGP. Functional oils (FO) are already used as additives and can exert such a function. The objective was to evaluate the replacement of growth promoting antibiotics by functional oils in the broiler breeders and offspring diets on the productive and reproductive performance of the broiler breeders and the effects on offspring and challenged birds. Three experiments were carried out. In experiment 1, a total of 16400 females and 1722 males, Ross AP 95 broiler breeders were divided into two houses according to the treatment, as it follows: 1) control with AGP and 2) treatment with FO. For the experiment, it was recorded the total produced eggs, hatching eggs, fertility percentage, hatching and hatchability. The weight of the chick, egg weight, yolk percentage, albumen percentage, shell thickness, embryo diagnosis and lipid peroxidation of the yolk were also assessed. Statistical analysis was performed using logistic regression using the GENMOD procedure of SAS program. There was negative effect of FO (p <0.05) for the total egg production in some weeks throughout production and in the early weeks for hatching eggs; in the intermediate and last weeks there was a positive effect on the production of hatching eggs for the birds fed FO. There was a positive effect of the FO use (p <0.05) for fertility, hatching, hatchability, embriodiagnosis and shell thickness. For chick and egg weight, there was a negative effect (p<0.05) of the FO use in specific weeks. There was a decreasing linear effect on malondialdehyde values of egg yolks receiving FO. In experiment 2, 1440 chicks were distributed in a completely randomized design in a 2 x 2 factorial scheme (diet supplemented or not with functional oils versus offspring diet supplemented or not with functional oils) totaling 4 treatments, 9 replicates and 36 experimental units with 40 birds each. The treatments consisted of: Treatment A: Maternal diet control with bacitracin methylene disalicylate + offspring control diet with enramycin, Treatment B: Maternal diet control with bacitracin methylene disalicylate + offspring diet with functional oils, Treatment C: Maternal diet with functional oils + offspring diet control with enramycin and treatment D: Maternal diet with functional oils + offspring diet with functional oils. Statistical analysis was performed by SAS software GLM procedure. Supplementation with functional oils resulted in similar performance at 42 days of age. There was an interaction between treatments for DPPH values (p <0.05). Supplementation of functional oils in the maternal diet or the offspring diet improved antioxidant activity. Birds from supplemented female breeders with functional oils had higher (p <0.05) carcass weight and thigh weight at 42 days of age. Supplementation of the offspring diet with functional oils reduced (p <0.05) the carcass weight at slaughter, regardless of breeder supplementation. There was no significant effect (p> 0.05) of treatments for yield of prime-cuts and fat deposition. The quality and oxidative stability of fresh meat and stored meat were not altered by supplementation with functional oils (p> 0.05) in the maternal diet or offspring diet. In experiment 3, 640 birds were distributed in a completely randomized design in a 2x4 factorial scheme (with and without challenge versus 4 diets), totaling 8 treatments and 8 replicates with 10 birds each. Diets consisted of: AGP and anticoccidial free basal diet, basal diet with AGP I (Salinomycin) + functional oils, basal diet with AGP II (Enramycin) + functional oils and basal diet + functional oils. At 21 days of age, the productive performance was evaluated and 16 birds / treatment were sacrificed for evaluation of intestinal health and expression of inflammatory cytokines. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the GLM procedure of the SAS software. Challenged birds presented lower (p <0.05) live weight and lower weight gain, lower (p <0.05) crypt depth of the duodenum and lower (p <0.05) crypt width in the jejunum when compared to the control treatment. There was an interaction (p <0.05) between challenge and diet for the number of crypts: number of villi where birds raised on the new bedding and supplemented with diets free of additives presented higher number of crypts in relation to the number of villi. Challenged birds presented lower (p <0.05) amount of PCNA positive cells and birds supplemented with AGP I + FO had higher counts of PCNA positive cells when compared to the other diets. Birds that received the control diet and the diet with functional oils showed higher (p <0.05) TNF-? concentrations when compared to the birds that received AGP I + FO diet and AGP II + FO diet. The replacement of growth promoters by functional oils in the diets of the broilers breeders and the offspring diet is a viable alternative; however, more studies must be carried out to understand the function of the promoter additives and the functional oils in the diet of birds raised under challenging sanitary conditions.
