The results of the study of the Malafos (Malathion) dissolution dynamics in the fruits of agricultural crops.
2024
The paper discusses the results of studying the dissolution of the organophosphorus insecticide - Malafos (Malathion) in the fruits of various agricultural crops (apples, grapes, plums, cucumbers, tomatoes) in two different (western and eastern) regions of Georgia (Samtredia and Sagarejo). Analyses of the content of Malafos residues in the fruits were carried out on the day of spraying and at certain time intervals until the complete dissolution of the drug. in Samtredia, malaphos was fund to fully dissolve in 20 days, three days earlier than in Sagarejo, which is probably due to the higher amount of precipitation in Samtredia compared to Sagarejo, the latter having three times less annual precipitation than. The per hectare ecological burden index of Malafos is very low - it does not exceed 0.04-0.05, at the same time, this drug belongs to the safest for human health - class IV, which indicates the safety of using Malafos from the point of view of both human health and environmental protection.
