Uso da espectroscopia NIR para monitoramento nutricional de ovinos em pastagens de capim-mombaça.

Resumo: O uso do NIR fecal para o monitoramento da condição nutricional do rebanho traz agilidade nas informações e garante a viabilidade da produção. Nesse sentido, objetivou-se avaliar o uso da espectroscopia NIR das fezes, para previsão do teor de proteína bruta (PB) e digestibilidade in vitro da matéria seca (DIVMS) da dieta de ovinos mantidos em pastagens de capim-mombaça. Amostras de fezes e pasto foram coletadas no Vale do Guaporé, Estado de Mato Grosso. Foram selecionados 10 ovinos Santa Inês adultos, de rebanhos adaptados à região e ao pastejo de Panicum maximum, cv. Mombaça. As amostras de pasto foram analisas quantos aos teores de MS, PB, MO, MM, DIVMS e DIVMO. Amostras fecais foram coletadas da ampola retal, submetidas a pré-secagem à a ± 55ºC, moídas, e secas novamente à ± 55 °C, por três horas. Foram coletados espectros de 360 amostras fecais, com uso do instrumento NIR Foss© 5000, na faixa de 1100 a 2500 nm, a intervalos de 2 nm. Também foram coletadas informações sobre as estações do ano (seca e chuvosa). Para desenvolvimento dos modelos software Unscrambler® X, versão 10.2, usando o teor de PB e a DIVMS, além do valor de reflectância nos diferentes comprimentos de onda como variáveis independentes. Os espectros fecais foram pré-tratados com Multiplicative Scatter Correction (MSC), posteriormente, passaram pela Principal Component Analysis (PCA) e tiveram similaridade testada pela Soft Independent Modeling of Class Analogy (SIMCA). Os espectros foram pré-tratados com Derivadas do Savitzky-Golay (SG), Standard Normal Variation (SNV) e sua associação Os modelos foram desenvolvidos a técnica de regressão Partial Least Squares (PLS). De acordo com a análise exploratória, o pré-tratamento com a MSC, não indicou o agrupamento dos espectros segundo as estações do ano. Após aplicação da PCA, amostras fecais do período chuvoso incorporaram maior variação ao banco de dados. Além disso, a avaliação de classe SIMCA, identificou similaridade de 86 e 70% entre amostras do período seco e chuvoso. Por fim, a partir da análise de Hotelling (T2 ) pôde-se considerar a modelagem de um único banco de dados por não haver separação ou agrupamento amostral. O modelo de PB, apresentou modelo de calibração com R2 = 0,88 e RMSEC = 0,80, validação cruzada com R2 = 0,84 e RMSECV = 0,96. Já o modelo da DIVMS, apresentou em seus parâmetros de calibração com R2 = 0,75 e RMSEC = 4,02, validação cruzada com R2 = 0,69 e RMSECV = 4,54. Os RMSEP para PB e DIVMS foram de 1,09 e 5,46, respectivamente, porém, em termos relativos, foram equivalentes a apenas 10,22% para PB e 10,97% para DIVMS. O modelo de PB foi desenvolvido com 182 variáveis consideradas importantes, enquanto o da DIVMS utilizou apenas 45. A tecnologia de NIRS fecal pode ser utilizada com acurácia para determinar o teor de PB e a DIVMS da dieta de ovinos mantidos em pastagem de capim-mombaça. Abstract: The use of fecal NIR to monitor the nutritional condition of the herd brings agility in the information and guarantees the viability of the production. In this sense, the objective was to evaluate the use of fecal NIR spectroscopy to predict the crude protein (CP) content and in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDDM) of the diet of sheep collected from pastures of mombaça grass. Stool and pasture samples were collected in the Guaporé Valley, State of Mato Grosso. Ten adult Santa Inês sheep were selected, from herds adapted to the region and pasture of Panicum maximum, cv. Mombaça. The setting was analyzed for the levels of MS, PB, MO, MM, IVDDM and IVDOM. Fecal samples were collected from the rectal ampoule, subjected to predrying at ± 55ºC, ground, and dried again at ± 55 ° C, for three hours. Fecal spectra of 360 were collected using the NIR Foss © 5000 instrument, in the range from 1100 to 2500 nm, at 2 nm intervals. Information about the seasons (dry and rainy) was also collected. To develop from the software models Unscrambler® X, version 10.2, using the content of PB and a DIVMS, in addition to the reflectance value at the different wavelengths as independent variables. Faecal spectra were pre-treated with Multiplicative Dispersion Correction (MSC), subsequently passed through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and had similarity tested by the Independent Soft Model of Class Analogy (SIMCA). The spectra were pre-treated with Savitzky-Golay derivatives (SG), Standard Normal Variation (SNV) and their association. The models were developed using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) regression technique. According to the exploratory analysis, the pre-treatment with the MSC did not indicate the grouping of the spectra according to the seasons. After the application of the PCA, the feces of the rainy season incorporated greater variation in the database. In addition, a SIMCA class assessment identified a similarity of 86 and 70% between the dry and rainy periods. Finally, from the analysis of Hotelling (T2 ), it was possible to consider a modeling of a single database because there is no separation or sampling grouping. The CP model, presented the calibration model with R2 = 0.88 and RMSEC = 0.80, cross-validation with R2 = 0.84 and RMSECV = 0.96. The DIVMS model, on the other hand, presented in its calibration parameters with R2 = 0.75 and RMSEC = 4.02, cross-validation with R2 = 0.69 and RMSECV = 4.54. The RMSEP for CP and IVDDM were 1.09 and 5.46, respectively, however, in relative terms, they were equivalent to only 10.22% for PB and 10.97% for IVDDM. The CP model was developed with 182 variables considered important, while the IVDDM model uses only 45. The fecal NIRS technology can be used with accuracy to determine the CP content and IVDDM of the diet of sheep in the pasture of grass - mombaça.
