The Biovigilance Continuum for Plant Health

On the occasion of International Plant Health Day, the PROCINORTE Plant Health Task Force organized a webinar on “The Biovigilance Continuum for Plant Health.” The webinar aimed to enhance understanding of ongoing research activities on biovigilance for plant health protection in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. This webinar featured presentations by scientists from the three countries actively engaged in research on biovigilance of insect pests, plant diseases, and weed species that impact agricultural crop production across North America. The forum provided an opportunity for cooperation and the exchange of information on biovigilance research, challenges, and opportunities for developing innovative solutions.

Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Sanidad Vegetal, el Grupo de Trabajo de Sanidad Vegetal de PROCINORTE organizó un webinar sobre el «Biovigilancia continua para proteger la sanidad de las plantas cultivadas». El objetivo del webinar fue mejorar la comprensión de las investigación en curso sobre biovigilancia para la protección fitosanitaria en Canadá, Estados Unidos y México. Se contó con la participación de científicos de los tres países que están involucrados activamente en la investigación sobre biovigilancia de plagas de insectos, enfermedades de las plantas y especies de malezas que afectan a la producción de cultivos agrícolas en toda América del Norte. El foro brindó la oportunidad de cooperar e intercambiar información sobre investigación en biovigilancia, y retos y oportunidades para desarrollar soluciones innovadoras.
