The highly intuitive and user-friendly abaca microsatellite marker database Abaca MarkerDB has been developed and tested. It contains compiled information from inner leaf sheath transcriptome-based SSR markers and serves as a rich resource of non-redundant SSRs. Access to the database will provide information on markers useful for future plant breeding applications. Although the database is not web-based, it can be cloned from an open-access git repository that can be saved into a user's personal computer. It runs similarly to any stand-alone software once the dependencies are met. The database allows data browsing, retrieving, exporting, and saving files with ease.
