The results of the conducted research allow us to assert the positive effect of correction on the resistance of the body of calves born with signs of spontaneous, inadequate respiration. It should be noted that the most critical periods were from birth to the immunodeficiency period with the preservation of low activity of cellular defense factors until the retardation period and an increase until the stabilization period. It was found that in calves born with spontaneous, inadequate respiration, leukocyte FA decreased from birth to the immunodeficiency period and was active during the period of dominance. During this period, phagocyte activity increased by 1.11 times and had the same values during the retardation period. Only in the period of stabilization, leukocyte FA increased by 1.09 times compared to the period of retardation. This index increased by 1.26 times (p<0.05) before the period of dominance and decreased by 1.60 times during the period of retardation (p<0.01). The leukocyte index decreased before the immunodeficiency period and increased before the period of dominance (1.31 times, p<0.05), in the next two periods it was less by 1.63 times (p<0.01). In the next 2 periods it was 1.65 times less (p<0.01). The neutrophil shift index decreased sharply, by 5.35 times in the immunodeficient period (p<0.001) and fluctuated slightly in the next 3 periods of calves' life.
