Regeneration and changes in plant community of the subtaiga forbs-fescue larch forest destroyed by harmful insects

In Mongolia, in recent years, the number of harmful insects has increased, causing the same damage as fires. This article presents the results of a long-term observation of regeneration and plant community change in the forest which in 2001 was destroyed by a Siberian moth in Gachuurt valley of the green zone of the city of Ulaanbaatar. Within 21 years after the destruction of the forest by harmful insects, natural regeneration of the forest does not occur, and the forbs-fescue meadow community is formed due to the process of terrain degradation. Larch forests destroyed by insects can only be restored by planting larch seedlings. Монгол оронд сүүлийн жилүүдэд хөнөөлт шавжийн тоо толгой олширч түймрээс дутахгүй хөнөөл учруулж байна. Гачуурт орчмын ногоон бүсийн ойд 2001 онд гарсан Сибирийн хүр эрвээхэйн хүрэнцэрт идэгдэж үхсэн алаг өвс-улалжит шинэсэн ойн сэргэн ургалт, ургамал бүлгэмдлийн өөрчлөгдлийн олон жилийн мониторингийн үр дүнг энэхүү өгүүлэлд оруулав. Хөнөөлт шавжид нэрвэгдэж хатсанаас хойш 21 жилийн хугацаанд ойн байгалийн сэргэн ургалт огт ажиглагдаагүй ба хээржих үйл явц явагдаж алаг өвс-улалжит нугын хээрийн бүлгэмдэл үүссэн байна. Хөнөөлт шавжид нэрвэгдэж үхсэн шинэсэн ойг шинэсний тарьцаар ойжуулалт хийх замаар нөхөн сэргээх боломжтой.
