Evaluation of Fruit Quality and Ascorbic Acid Content of 8 Red Dessert-type Guava Cultivars | การประเมินคุณภาพผลและปริมาณวิตามินซีในฝรั่งชนิดรับประทานผลสดเนื้อสีแดง 8 พันธุ์

Inglés. The data on quality of red dessert-type guava is important for breeding, especially the process of selecting parents to create hybrids that have increased fruit quality. Therefore, the quality of 8 guava varieties including Hong Bao Shi, Hong Zhuan Shi, Tangmo, Hongxinpala, Fern Hong Mi, Chompoo Pantip, Khaimukdaeng and Samsikrob was evaluated. It was found that fruit weight, seed cavity weight, percentage of recovery of fresh fruit, flesh thickness, firmness, total soluble solids and ascorbic acid content were statistically significant difference (P < 0.05). Hong Bao Shi had the highest of recovery of fresh fruit of 76.87 %, Chompoo Pantip had the highest total soluble solids of 13.82 ºbrix and Fern Hong Mi had the highest ascorbic acid content of 213.05 mg/100g fresh weight. Titratable acidity was no statistical difference (P > 0.05). This data is also useful to consumers and farmers.

Tailandés. ข้อมูลคุณภาพผลของฝรั่งรับประทานผลสดสีแดงมีความสำคัญต่อการปรับปรุงพันธุ์ โดยเฉพาะขั้นตอนการคัดเลือกพ่อแม่พันธุ์เพื่อสร้างลูกผสมที่มีคุณภาพผลเพิ่มขึ้น  จึงได้ประเมินคุณภาพผลฝรั่งจำนวน 8 พันธุ์ ได้แก่ หงเป่าสือ หงจ้วนสือ แตงโม หงซินปาล่า เฟินหงมี่ ชมพูพันทิพ ไข่มุกแดง และสามสีกรอบ พบว่า น้ำหนักผล น้ำหนักไส้ เปอร์เซ็นต์ปริมาณเนื้อที่รับประทานได้ ความหนาเนื้อ ความแน่นเนื้อ ปริมาณของแข็งที่ละลายน้ำได้ทั้งหมด และปริมาณวิตามินซี มีความแตกต่างทางสถิติ (P < 0.05) ฝรั่งพันธุ์หงเป่าสือมีปริมาณเนื้อที่สามารถรับประทานได้มากที่สุดถึง 76.87 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ชมพูพันทิพมีปริมาณของแข็งที่ละลายน้ำได้มากที่สุด 13.82 องศาบริกซ์ และเฟินหงมี่มีปริมาณวิตามินซีมากที่สุด 213.05 มิลลิกรัมต่อ 100 กรัมน้ำหนักสด ส่วนปริมาณกรดที่ไทเทรตได้ไม่พบความแตกต่างทางสถิติ (P > 0.05 ) โดยข้อมูลนี้ยังเป็นประโยชน์ต่อผู้บริโภค และเกษตรกรด้วย
