PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITALIZATION IN AGRICULTURE

Digitalization is one of the main conditions for maintaining the competitiveness of the economy. This leads to an explosive growth in the number of enterprises using a variety of software. An increasing share of agricultural enterprises is moving towards solving management problems in a comprehensive manner. The studies have shown that in the Samara region, the main area of digitalization is crop production. High profitability of crop production (30–50% depending on the year) allows enterprises to invest in development. The use of automated driving systems, unmanned aerial systems, navigation and other types of digitalization of production processes allows in the medium term not only to reduce losses associated with the human factor, but also to optimize production, increasing its profitability. Currently, more than ¾ of Samara agricultural enterprises use digital technologies.
