The effects of cultivars and meteorological factors on variability of the potato phenophases | Wpływ odmian i czynników meteorologicznych na zmienność faz fenologicznych ziemniaka

Inglés. The aim of the study was to assess the effects of some meteorological factors upon development of potato plants. The occurrence and duration of the phenophases in 42 Polish potato cultivars were evaluated in the experiments that were conducted over the period of 14 years (1984–1997). The influence of genotype and meteorological conditions on variability of plant growth was estimated. Based on the analysis of regression, the effects of air and soil temperature, total rainfall and Selianinov coefficient on the examined plant features were established. These results can explain which meteorological factor is the most important to each potato phenophase. Next, the confidence interval for the appearance and duration of each phenophase was calculated. All the cultivars could be divided into three significantly differentiated groups, depending on the values of their growth features. The findings can be useful in characterizing new potato genotypes.

Polaco. Przedmiotem badań była ocena znaczenia warunków meteorologicznych i czynnika odmia- nowego w rozwoju roślin ziemniaka. Analizę zmienności występowania i długotrwałości wybranych fenofaz ziemniaka przeprowadzono na podstawie danych dotyczące rozwoju roślin 42 polskich odmian ziemniaka zgromadzonych w okresie 14 lat badań (1984–1997). Badania zależności pomiędzy temperaturą powietrza i gleby, sumą opadów, wartością współczynnika Sielianinowa a okresem przedwschodowego rozwoju kiełków, długotrwałością wschodów, okresem wzrostu elongacyjnego, występowaniem i długotrwałością kwitnienia a także okresem pełnego rozwoju roślin pozwoliły określić znaczenie tych czynników w kształtowaniu wymienionych fenofaz ziemniaka. Następnie wyliczono przedziały ufności wyznaczające wartości graniczne dla ocenianych cech roślin ziemniaka różnej wczesności, co umożliwiło podział odmian na trzy grupy istotnie różniące się, pod względem występowania i długotrwałości głównych fenofaz. Wykorzystanie wyliczonych i podanych w niniejszej pracy wartości granicznych umożliwia prostsze i dokładniejsze, niż dotychczas, charakteryzowanie nowych kreacji hodowlanych ziemniaka odnośnie cech wzrostu i rozwoju roślin.
