Distribuição espacial do estoque de carbono orgânico total em luvissolos sob sistemas agrícolas convencionais e agroflorestais.

Resumo: O objetivo desse estudo foi avaliar estoques de carbono orgânico total (COT) em sistemas agrícolas convencionais e agroflorestais. A área experimental localiza-se na Fazenda Crioula, pertencente ao Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Caprinos da EMBRAPA, no município de Sobral-CE. Foram selecionadas as seguintes áreas: Agrissilvipastoril, Silvipastoril, Tradicional 1, Tradicional 2, Cultivo Intensivo em Pousio, Vegetação Natural 1 e Vegetação Natural 2. As áreas estudadas foram georeferenciadas e as amostras foram coletadas em transectos na profundidade de 0-5 cm e a cada 20, 10 ou 5 m de acordo com o relevo. Os teores de COT foram determinados por oxidação úmida e a densidade do solo pelo método do torrão. Os resultados foram avaliados através de medidas descritivas e técnicas geoestatísticas. As áreas sob manejo agroflorestal apresentaram estoques de COT superiores confirmando a eficiência do SAF?s em reduzir os efeitos da erosão, aumentar o estoque de carbono no solo e a variabilidade espacial. Abstract: The objective of this study was to evaluate the stocks of organic carbon total (COT) in conventional and agroforestry farming systems. The experimental area located at the Crioula Farm, CNPC ? EMBRAPA, in Sobral County, CE. The following systems were evaluated: Agrisilvipastoril, Silvipastoril, Traditional 1, Traditional 2, Fallow Intense Cropping, Natural Vegetation 1 and Natural Vegetation 2. The studied field was georeferenced and soil samples were collected in transects at depth of 0-5 cm every 20, 10 or 5 m, according to the condition of terrain. The COT content was determined by wet oxidation and soil density by clod method. The results were analyzed using descriptive statistic and geostatistic technique. The areas under management and agroforestry showed content of carbon stocks and superior, confirmed the efficiency of the SAF's to reduce the effects of erosion, increasing o carbon stocks and spatial variability.
