Atributos de solos arenosos sob diferentes usos e coberturas da terra no Cerrado Sul-mato-grossense.

RESUMO - O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito das mudanças na cobertura e no uso da terra nos atributos físicos, químicos e nos teores de matéria orgânica do solo na bacia hidrográfica do rio Pardo, no Cerrado Sul-mato-grossense. As amostras de solo foram coletadas em sete pontos, sendo eles em área de mata nativa, pastagem e eucalipto. Em cada ponto foram coletadas amostras nas profundidades 0-10, 10-20, 20-40 e 40-60 cm. A textura foi determinada pelo método de Bouyoucos, pH (1:2,5); MOS (K2Cr2O7); P, K, Fe, Mn, Zn e Cu (Mehlich I); Ca, Mg e Al (KCl 1 mol L-1) e; H+Al (acetato de Ca a pH 7). Todos os pontos de amostragem apresentaram textura franco-arenosa. As áreas sob vegetação nativa apresentaram maiores teores de H+Al e Al3+ e os menores teores de Ca, Mg e P. Os teores de Ca e Mg foram maiores nas áreas de pastagem plantada com braquiária na camada 0-10 cm. Nestes locais os valores de pH em água também foram maiores que nos demais pontos, consequentemente, os valores de Al3+ foram menores, indicando a aplicação de corretivos de acidez. Para a MOS, os maiores teores foram encontrados na mata nativa. Nas áreas antropizadas, os maiores teores foram observados em áreas de pastagem cultivada e os menores, no solo sob cultivo de eucalipto. Os resultados mostram que os solos arenosos, naturalmente, apresentam baixa fertilidade natural, e que a variação dos atributos químicos em áreas agrícolas está relacionada com os tipos de uso (lavoura, pastagem e silvicultura) e com o manejo da adubação. ABSTRACT - The objective of this study was to assess the effects of changes in land cover and land use on the physical, chemical, and organic matter content of the soil in the Pardo River watershed, in the SoulMato-Grossense Cerrado. Soil samples were collected at seven points, including native forest, pasture, and eucalyptus areas. At each point, samples were collected at depths of 0-10, 10-20, 20-40, and 40-60 cm. Texture was determined using the Bouyoucos method, pH (1:2.5); organic matter (K2Cr2O7); P, K, Fe, Mn, Zn, and Cu (Mehlich I); Ca, Mg, and Al (KCl 1 mol L-1); and H+Al (Ca acetate at pH 7). All sampling points showed a sandy loam texture. Areas under native vegetation had higher H+Al and Al3+ content and lower Ca, Mg, and P content. Ca and Mg levels were higher in areas of pasture planted with Brachiaria in the 0-10 cm layer. In these locations, water pH values were also higher than in other points, consequently, Al3+ values were lower, indicating the application of acidity correctives. For organic matter, the highest levels were found in native forest. In anthropized areas, the highest levels were observed in cultivated pasture areas, and the lowest levels were found in soil under eucalyptus cultivation. The results show that sandy soils naturally have low fertility, and that the variation in chemical attributes in agricultural areas is related to land use types (cropland, pasture, and forestry) and fertilizer managemen.
