Inglés. Soybean is one of the most widely cultivated species in the world, demonstrating great agricultural, economic, and social importance. The objective of this work was to characterize the agronomic performance of soybean cultivars under severe La Niña conditions, as well as the quality of the seeds produced. The work was developed at the Escola Fazenda of the Regional University of Northwest Rio Grande do Sul State. The experimental design used was a strip plot with internal blocks. Ten cultivars were evaluated. Analysis of variance, principal components, Pearson's correlation, and k-means clustering were performed to assess the variability and relationships between agronomic traits of cultivars. Statistical analyses were conducted in R software, primarily using the AGROR and METAN packages. Water-restricted conditions reveal the best performance for AS 3595 12X, particularly in germination and seed yield. La Niña causes severe losses to the FPS 6.1 12X cultivar in terms of seed quality, dead seeds, and abnormal seedlings.
