Purpose. To investigate features of commercial head quality formation in varieties of cutting lettuce (Lactuca sativa var. capitata L.) for different growing methods. To study the influence of growing methods for cutting lettuce plants on the weight of commercial heads, indices of yield and quality of freshly harvested products. Methods. Field study, laboratory testing and statistical evaluation. Results. The results of studying peculiarities of head formation in such cutting lettuce varieties as ‘Godar’ (control), ‘Smuhlianka’, ‘Olzhych’ and ‘Dyvohrai’ were shown. Based on the results of phenological observations, the duration of interstage periods of growth and development of cutting lettuce plants was determined for the different growing methods. The model of cutting lettuce of capitata variety for different growing methods was presented in terms of biochemical parameters (content of dry matter, vitamin C, nitrates, amount of sugars). The influence of growing methods for cutting lettuce plants on the commercial head weight, indices of yield and quality of freshly harvested products was studied. Obtained results confirmed that in early ripening varie­ti­es the heads were smaller (150 g) and not dense, in late ripening varieties they were large and dense, weight was 150–500 g. Freshly harvested commercial products of head lettuce in case of seedling cultivation was characterized by a slight increase in dry matter content by 0.15–0.29%. The corresponding pattern was observed for the total sugar content. Its amount was slightly higher: 1.3–1.9% in case of direct sowing and 1.6–1.9% – for seedlings cultivation. The content of ascorbic acid (vitamin C, mg/100 g) was the highest in the ‘Dyvohrai’ variety despite of the method of growing. The largest quantity of nitrates in lettuce heads was in the inner stem (480 mg/kg), while in the middle of the head it was reduced to 110 mg/kg. Conclusions. Freshly harvested heads of cutting lettuce were analyzed for the content of such basic biochemical indices as dry matter, vitamin C, protein, nitrates, amount of sugars. Biochemical characteristics of freshly harvested products of heading lettuce in case of direct sowing and non-seedling methods of growing were within the error being almost identical with minor deviations. According to the study results, a typical model of capitate lettuce variety was designed which will have practical application in qualification examination of plant varieties.

Methods. Field experiment, laboratory testing. Results. The results of studies on introduction and breeding were given aimed to improve drought tolerance of non-traditional perennial grasses under the conditions of the Right-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. Based on the selected parent material, varieties were created by the use of hybridization and ecotype breeding methods and then entered into the State Register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine, among them: intermediate wheatgrass (Elytrigia intermedia (Host) Nevski) – ‘Hors’, crested wheatgrass (Agropyron cristatum (L.) Gaertn.) – ‘Petrivskyi’; meadow brome (Bromus riparia Rehm.) – ‘Boian’; slender wheatgrass (Roegneria trachycaulon (Link) Nevski) – ‘Co­umb’. As compared with conventional, relatively drought-tolerant species of smooth brome (Bromopsis inermis (Leyss.) Holub) – ‘Mars’, increment of dry matter content of these species in the extreme drought conditions of 2011 was increased by 1,52–3,73 t/ha. Under more sufficient moistening conditions of 2012, slender wheatgrass ‘Columb’ was at the level of the сheck variety in terms of this indicator. Other varieties exceeded it by 1.44–3.22 t/ha. The data was given including seed productivity and sowing quality indicators, after-ripening duration and economic fitness of seeds. Conclusions. The use of the recommended varieties of drought-resistant species of perennial grasses as part of grass mixtures will increase significantly the productivity of grasslands and pastures in the current context of climate change.

In the context of introduction, panicle earing came in the third decade of July, flowering began in the first decade of August. It was revealed that complete flowers are bloomed faster than the staminate ones.

To study the effect of AKM plant growth regulator on growth, development and yield formation of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) hybrids in hybridization plots under the conditions of the Southern Steppe zone of Ukraine. Methods. Laboratory tests, field study, statistical evaluation. Results. The results of studies devoted to determining the optimal AKM concentration for the treatment of seeds of the maternal and paternal lines, the effect of AKM on field germination, biometric parameters of sunflower plants, seed quality (F1) and yield are presented. Three hybrids of the Ukrainian selection, such as ‘Alpha’, ‘Logos’ and ‘Persei’ were studied during 2014–2016. Optimal concentration of AKM (0.0015 g/l) was defined. The vigor of seeds processed by AKM was higher than in check variety by 0.8–12.8 р.р. (♂); 0.4–10.7 p.p. (♀), laboratory germination – by 2.3–6.1 p.p. (♂); 3.5–6.2 p.p. (♀). In 2016, the sunflower plant height for all variants exceeded this parameter to be obtained for other years of the study. This could be explained by the fact that HTC in 2016 for the BBCH 00–39 period was 1.4 times higher than in 2015. In general, hybrids as the studied factor considerably influenced sunflower yield, and the share of the hybrid (factor A) influence is 33%. This should be considered when selecting hybrids for sunflower cultivation technologies in the Steppe zone of Ukraine. Conclusions. Hydrothermal conditions of the year had the maximum impact on the formation of seed quality and yield of sunflower plants of the hybrids under study, but when using AKM growth regulator for presowing seed treatment, this negative impact was reduced by an average of 23%.

Physiological and biochemical, selection ones, statistical data processing.Results. The data is given concerning the evaluation of the water retaining and water regeneration capacity of potato leaves of promising hybrids of competitive and ecological test, varieties of the parental nursery, biotechnological lines and wild species and their integral indicator of drought resistance. The studied samples were grown in the nurseries of field selection crop rotation. Accordingly, the initial material with the highest drought resistance value has been defined. Among the evaluated material, eight hybrids of the competitive and ecological test have been selected (drought resistance coefficient was ranging from 59.4% to 84.8%) and five biotechnological lines of ‘Hlazurna’ and ‘Dorohin’ varieties (drought resistance coefficient was in the range of 55.5% to 67.5%). As for wild species, almost half of the samples (47.8%) were characterized by a high coefficient of drought resistance (from 55 to 78%). Selected samples with high values of drought resistance were recommended to use as a source and drought resistance donors when creating new potato varieties.Conclusions. The initial potato material (hybrids, varieties, biotechnological lines and wild species) with high values of drought resistance (55.0–84.8%) has been selected. These samples are recommended to use in the breeding process when creating new drought resistance potato varieties. | Мета. Оцінити та провести добір гібридів, сортів батьківського розсадника селекційного процесу, біотехнологічних ліній та диких видів картоплі за фізіологічними показниками посухостійкості.Методи. Фізіолого-біохімічні, селекційні, статистичні.Результати. Наведено дані оцінювання водоутримувальної та водовідновлювальної здатності листків картоплі перспективних гібридів конкурсно-екологічного випробування, сортів батьківського розсадника, біотехнологічних ліній і диких видів та їх інтегрального показника посухостійкості. Досліджувані зразки вирощували в розсадниках польової селекційної сівозміни. Відповідно визначено вихідний матеріал з найвищим показником посухостійкості. З-поміж оцінюваного матеріалу виділено: вісім гібридів конкурсно-екологічного випробування – коефіцієнт посухостійкості коливався від 59,4 до 84,8%, п’ять біотехнологічних ліній сортів ‘Глазурна’ та ‘Дорогинь’ – коефіцієнт посухостійкості у межах від 55,5 до 67,5%. Серед диких видів майже половина зразків (47,8%) мала високий коефіцієнт посухостійкості – від 55 до 78%. Зразки з високими показниками посухостійкості рекомендовано використовувати як джерело та донори стійкості до посухи під час створення нових посухостійких сортів картоплі.Висновки. Виділено вихідний матеріал картоплі (гібриди, сорти, біотехнологічні лінії та дикі види) з високим коефіцієнтом посухостійкості (55,0–84,8%). Оценить и провести отбор гибридов, сортов родительского питомника селекционного процесса, биотехнологических линий и диких видов картофеля по физиологичес­ким показателям засухоустойчивости. Методы. Приведены данные оценивания водоудерживающей и водообновляющей способности листьев картофеля перспективных гибридов конкурсно-экологического испытания, сортов родительского питомника, биотехнологических линий, диких видов и их интегрального показателя засухоустойчивости. Исследуемые образцы выращивали в питомниках полевого селекционного севооборота. Соответственно определен исходный материал с наивысшим показателем засухоустойчивости. Среди оцениваемого материала выделено: восемь гибридов конкурсно-экологического испытания – коэффициент засухоустойчивости колебался от 59,4 до 84,8%, пять биотехнологических линий сортов ‘Глазурна’ и ‘Дорогинь’ с коэффициентом засухоустойчивости в пределах от 55,5 до 67,5%. Среди диких видов почти половина образцов (47,8%) имели высокий коэффициент засухоустойчивости – от 55 до 78%. Образцы с высокими показателями засухоустойчивости рекомендовано использовать как источники и доноры устойчивости к засухе при создании новых засухоустойчивых сортов картофеля. Выводы. Выделен исходный материал картофеля (гибриды, сорта, биотехнологические линии и дикие виды) с высоким коэффициентом засухоустойчивости (55,0–84,8%). Рекомендовано использовать эти образцы в селекционном процессе при создании засухоустойчивых сор­тов картофеля.

Мета. Встановити оптимальні строки проведення збиральних робіт у розсадниках первинного насінництва люпину білого. Методи. Використано польові, лабораторні та статистичні методи оцінки матеріалу. Посівні якості вивчали в лабораторних умовах окремо для насіння із центральних і бічних китиць згідно з ДСТУ 2240-93.Результати. Наведено результати досліджень для визначення оптимальних строків проведення збиральних робіт у розсадниках первинного насінництва. Дослідження проводили окремо для насіння з центральної і бічних китиць, зібраного в різні фази стиглості. Встановлено, що енергія проростання насіння першого строку збирання була мінімальною і становила по сортах для центральної китиці від 70,0 до 73,0% і від 58,0 до 65,0% – для бічних китиць. Найкращі показники енергії проростання і схожості виявлено у насіння центральних китиць, зібраного у фазу «жовті сім’ядолі». Вони становили в середньому по всіх сортах 90,8 і 94,3% відповідно, тоді як у насіння бічних китиць ці показники були на рівні 84,5 і 89,3%. На формування маси 1000 насінин впливали агрометеорологічні умови. В посушливі роки на рослинах сформувалося щупле й легковаге насіння, тому погіршилась його посівна якість. Найбільшу масу 1000 насінин отримано у фазі «повна стиглість», коли вона досягала у центральної китиці від 284 до 338 г, а в бічних – від 266 до 316 г. Проведено оцінку розвитку зародкових корінців: зовнішній вигляд, довжина. Візуальна оцінка насіння на третю добу пророщування та вимірювання дов­жини зародкових корінчиків на сьому добу свідчить, що здорові, добре розвинені проростки спостерігалися в насіння п’ятого і шостого строків збирання.Висновки. Найвищі посівні якості у більшості сортів з урахуванням бічних китиць встановлено в насіння, зібраного у фазу і повної стиглості. Насіння центральної китиці за схожістю відповідає вимогам ДСТУ для добазової категорії (87,0%), починаючи вже з фази «початок пожовтіння корінчика зародка», але насіння бічних китиць – не раніше фази «жовті сім’ядолі». Збиральні роботи необхідно розпочинати у фазі стиглості насіння люпину «жовті сім’ядолі», коли воно є повноцінно сформованим і має високі посівні якості. | Purpose. To determine the optimal time for harvesting in nurseries of primary seed production of white lupine. Methods. Field, laboratory and statistical methods of material evaluation were used. Sowing qualities were studied in the laboratory separately for seeds from the central and lateral racemes in accordance with DSTU 2240-93 (State Standard of Ukraine).Results. The results of studies on determination of optimal terms for harvesting in nurseries of primary seed production are given. The studies were conducted separately for seeds from the central and lateral racemes collected in different ripe stages. It was established that the seed vigor during the first harves­ting time was minimal and ranging for varieties from 70.0 to 73.0% for the central raceme and from 58.0 to 65.0% for the lateral racemes. The best indices of seed vigor and germination capacity were established in the seeds of the central racemes harvested during the “yellow cotyledon” stage. They averaged 90.8 and 94.3% respectively for all varieties, while in the seeds of the lateral racemes these indices amounted to 84.5 and 89.3%. Agrometeorological conditions had influence on the thousand-kernel weight formation. In dry years, plants produced feeble and lightweight seeds, so their sowing qualities has been deteriorated. The highest thousand-kernel weight was obtained in the “full ripeness” stage, when it ranging from 284 to 338 g in the central racemes and from 266 to 316 in the lateral ones. The development of embryonic roots including external appearance, length was assessed. Visual assessment of germination on the third day and measurement of the length of embryonic roots on the seventh day showed that healthy, well-developed seedlings were observed in seeds of the fifth and sixth harvesting periods. Conclusions. The highest sowing qualities in most varieties with regard to lateral racemes were established in the seeds harvested in the «full ripeness» phase. For the germinating capacity, seeds of the central raceme met the requirements of DSTU for the additional category (87.0%), starting from the stage “beginning of the embryonic root yellowing”, but seeds of the lateral racemes not earlier than the phase of “yellow cotyledons”. Harvesting should be started at the “yellow cotyledons” phase of lupine seeds maturity when they were fully formed and have high sowing qualities. | Цель. Посевные качества изучали в лабораторных условиях отдельно для семян с центральных и боковых кистей в соответствии с ГСТУ 2240-93. Результаты. Приведены результаты исследований для определения оптимальных сроков проведения уборочных работ в питомниках первичного семеноводства. Исследования проводили отдельно для семян из центральной и боковых кистей, собранных в разные фазы зрелости. Установлено, что энергия прорастания семян первого срока уборки была минимальной и составляла по сортам для центральной кисти от 70,0 до 73,0% и от 58,0 до 65,0% – для боковых кистей. Лучшие показатели энергии прорастания и всхожести выявлены у семян центральных кистей, собранных в фазе «желтые семядоли». Они составляли в среднем по всем сортам соответственно 90,8 и 94,3%, в то время как у семян боковых кистей данные показатели были на уровне 84,5 и 89,3%. На формирование массы 1000 семян влияли агрометеорологические условия. В засушливые годы на растениях сформировались щуплые и легковесные семена, поэтому ухудшились их посевные качества. Проведена оценка развития зародышевых корешков: внешний вид, длина. Визуальная оценка семян на третий день проращивания и измерение длины зародышевых корешков на седьмой день показали, что здоровые, хорошо развитые проростки наблюдаются у семян пятого и шестого сроков уборки.Выводы. Наиболее высокие посевные качества у большинства сортов с учетом боковых кистей установлены в семенах, собранных в фазе полной спелости. Семена центральной кисти по всхожести соответствуют требованиям ГСТУ для добазовой категории (87,0%), начиная уже с фазы «начало пожелтения корешков зародыша», но семена с боковых кистей – не ранее фазы «желтые семядоли». Уборочные работы следует начинать в фазе спелости семян люпина «желтые семядоли», когда они полноценно сформированы и имеют высокие посевные качества.

Мета. Встановити оптимальні строки проведення збиральних робіт у розсадниках первинного насінництва люпину білого. Методи. Використано польові, лабораторні та статистичні методи оцінки матеріалу. Посівні якості вивчали в лабораторних умовах окремо для насіння із центральних і бічних китиць згідно з ДСТУ 2240-93. Результати. Наведено результати досліджень для визначення оптимальних строків проведення збиральних робіт у розсадниках первинного насінництва. Дослідження проводили окремо для насіння з центральної і бічних китиць, зібраного в різні фази стиглості. Встановлено, що енергія проростання насіння першого строку збирання була мінімальною і становила по сортах для центральної китиці від 70,0 до 73,0% і від 58,0 до 65,0% – для бічних китиць. Найкращі показники енергії проростання і схожості виявлено у насіння центральних китиць, зібраного у фазу «жовті сім’ядолі». Вони становили в середньому по всіх сортах 90,8 і 94,3% відповідно, тоді як у насіння бічних китиць ці показники були на рівні 84,5 і 89,3%. На формування маси 1000 насінин впливали агрометеорологічні умови. В посушливі роки на рослинах сформувалося щупле й легковаге насіння, тому погіршилась його посівна якість. Найбільшу масу 1000 насінин отримано у фазі «повна стиглість», коли вона досягала у центральної китиці від 284 до 338 г, а в бічних – від 266 до 316 г. Проведено оцінку розвитку зародкових корінців: зовнішній вигляд, довжина. Візуальна оцінка насіння на третю добу пророщування та вимірювання дов­жини зародкових корінчиків на сьому добу свідчить, що здорові, добре розвинені проростки спостерігалися в насіння п’ятого і шостого строків збирання. Висновки. Найвищі посівні якості у більшості сортів з урахуванням бічних китиць встановлено в насіння, зібраного у фазу і повної стиглості. Насіння центральної китиці за схожістю відповідає вимогам ДСТУ для добазової категорії (87,0%), починаючи вже з фази «початок пожовтіння корінчика зародка», але насіння бічних китиць – не раніше фази «жовті сім’ядолі». Збиральні роботи необхідно розпочинати у фазі стиглості насіння люпину «жовті сім’ядолі», коли воно є повноцінно сформованим і має високі посівні якості.

Цель. Исследовать влияние сроков сева, микроудобрений и регуляторов роста на биохимические показатели семян чечевицы.Методы. Полевые, лабораторные.Результаты. Приведены биохимические показатели качества семян чечевицы в зависимости от сроков сева, действия микроудобрений, регуляторов роста и их сочетания. На формирование биохимических показателей семян чечевицы влияют различные факторы. На показатель содержания крахмала в абсолютно сухом веществе семян в наибольшей мере повлияло применение регулятора роста Стимпо – 56,5% в 1-м сроке сева и в сочетании его с микроудобрением Квантум-Бобовые – 54,3% во 2-м сроке. В целом за годы исследований в семенах чечевицы сорта ‘Линза’ содержание сырого протеина было на уровне 26–28%. При комбинированном применении микроудобрений и регуляторов роста оно было равно 27,81% – Реаком-СР-Бобовые + Стимпо в 1-м сроке сева и от 27,69% – Квантум–Бобовые + Регоплант до 28,60% – Реаком-СР-Бобовые во 2-м сроке.Выводы. Установлены максимальные показатели содержания сырой клетчатки в вариантах с подкормкой растений в фазе бутонизации микроудобрением Квантум-Бобовые – 4,5% в 1-м сроке сева и 10,8% – во 2-м в 2016 г. Максимальное содержание крахмала в семенах чечевицы в 2016 г. в обоих сроках сева было в варианте с подкормкой в фазе бутонизации регулятором роста Стимпо – 58,0 и 55,8% соответственно. В 2017 г. лучшие показатели были в вариантах Квантум-Бобовые и Квантум-Бобовые + Регоплант – 55,1% в 1-м сроке и в варианте Реаком-СР-Бобовые – 54,3% во 2-м сроке. To investigate the effect of sowing time, microfertilizers and growth regulators on biochemical indices of lentil seeds.Methods. Field and laboratory ones.Results. Biochemical indices of lentil seed quality are given depending on the influence of sowing time, microfertilizers, growth regulators and their combination. Various factors affected the formation of biochemical indices of lentil seeds. Over the years of investigation, the content of crude fiber on the average was 3.2–3.3% for the control, the maximum value reached 6.9% in case of application of Reakom-SR-Bobovi + Regoplant during the first sowing time and 8.4% when applying Kvantum-Bobovi during the second sowing time. The Stimpo growth regulator influenced most of all on the starch content in the absolutely dry matter of seeds (56.5%) du­ring the first sowing time and when it was combined with microfertilizer Kvantum-Bobovi (54.3%) during the second sowing time. On the whole, the content of crude protein in the lentil seeds of the ‘Linza’ variety was 26–28% over the years of investigation. In case of the combined application of microfertilizers and growth regulators (Reakom-SR-Bo­bovi + Stimpo), the protein content was 27.81% during the first sowing time and from 27.69% (Kvantum-Bobovi + Regoplant) to 28.60% (Reakom-SR-Bobovi) during the second sowing time.Conclusions It was found that the maximum content of crude fiber were in versions with the application of microfertilizer Kvantum-Bobovi for plant nutrition in the bud-formation stage (4.5%) during the first sowing time and 10,8% during the second sowing time in 2016. The maximum content of starch in lentil seeds in 2016 during both sowing periods was 58,0 and 55,8% respectively in the version with the application of a growth regulator Stimpo in the bud-formation stage. In 2017, the highest indices were shown in the versions of Kvantum-Bobovi and Kvantum-Bobovi + Regoplant (55.1%) during the first sowing time and in the version of Reakom-SR-Bobovi (54.3%) during the second sowing time. The content of crude protein in lentil seeds in 2016 for Reakom-SR-Bobovi + Regoplant version was 27.92% during the first sowing time and for Reakom-SR-Bobovi + Stimpo version reached 29.93% during the second sowing time. In 2017, the above index was amounted to 28.21% for the Regoplant version during the first sowing time and 28.39% for the version of Kvantum-Bobovi during the second sowing time.

Исследовать сортовые особенности растений конопли посевной с целью улучшения качественных показателей почвы, на которой они произрастают, определить содержание неорганических элементов в почве, уровень их накопления в стеблях растений и семенах. Методы. Основные – полевой и спектрометрический. Результаты обрабатывали по общепринятым методикам в земледелии, растениеводстве и статистике. Варианты опыта – сорта ‘Гляна’, ‘Глесия’: 1) почва; 2) стебли; 3) семена. Схемы опытов: а) техническая спелость растений, междурядья 45 см; б) техническая спелость растений, междурядья 15 см; в) биологическая спелость растений, междурядья 45 см; г) биологическая спелость растений, междурядья 15 см. Результаты. Определены величины аккумуляции щёлочноземельных металлов и их соединений семенами и стеблями конопли посевной в зависимости от содержания их в почвах на протяжении вегетации. Выявлено, что стебли растений сорта ‘Глесия’ накапливали стронция (Sr) и его соединений значительно меньше по сравнению с растениями сорта ‘Гляна’, а в семенах сорта ‘Глесия’ содержание этого химического элемента превышало содержание в семенах предыдущего сорта на 70 и 78% соответственно. Разность в накоплении соединений бария (Ва) семенами конопли посевной между сортами была не существенной, тогда как ткани стеблей растений сорта ‘Гляна’ накапливали его соединений значительно больше по сравнению с сортом ‘Глесия’. Исследованиями не выявлено влияния доли сорта, площади питания и фазы созревания на процессы аккумуляции растениями соединений магния (Mg). Сорт ‘Глесия’ накапливал в тканях стеблей гораздо меньше кальция (Са) и его соединений по сравнению с растениями сорта ‘Гляна’: в вариантах в фазе технической спелости растений в посевах с междурядьями 45 см (а) и г – растения узкорядных посевов (15 см) в фазе биологической спелости – на 30,94 и 15,95 мг/кг больше при наличии в почве и в вариантах в фазе технической спелости растений с узкорядным посевом (15 см) и в фазе биологической спелости с широкорядным посевом (45 см) – меньше на 34,54 и 24,19 мг/кг.Выводы. На показатели аккумуляции щёлочноземельных металлов растениями конопли посевной существенно повлияли: концентрация соединений определенного химического элемента в пахотном слое почвы, уровень энергетического (светового) обес­печения растений в процессе вегетации, сортовые особенности конопли посевной, этапы органогенеза растений, специфические особенности наземной части – стеблей – накапливать эти химические элементы, а также семенами. Выявлена сортовая зависимость накопления тяжелых металлов тканями растений и семенами конопли посевной. Для получения экологически чистой продукции необходимо учитывать сортовые особенности растений поглощать и аккумулировать соответствующие химические элементы и их соединения при выращивании культуры. | Мета. Різниця в накопиченні сполук барію (Ва) в насінні сортів конопель посівних була неістотною, тоді як тканини стебел рослин сорту ‘Гляна’ накопичували його сполук значно більше порівняно з сортом ‘Глесія’. Дослідженнями не виявлено впливу частки сорту, площі живлення та фази достигання на процеси акумуляції рослинами сполук магнію (Mg). Сорт ‘Глесія’ накопичував у тканинах стебел рослин відчутно менше кальцію (Са) та його сполук порівняно з рослинами сорту ‘Гляна’: у варіантах фази технічної стиглості рослин у посівах з міжряддями 45 см (а) і г – рослини вузькорядного висіву (15 см) у фазі біологічної стиглості на 30,94 і 15,95 мг/кг більше за наявності у ґрунті та у варіантах фази технічної стиглості рослин вузькорядного висіву (15 см) і у фазі біологічної стиглості з широкорядним висівом (45 см) – на 34,54 і 24,19 мг/кг менше за наявності в ґрунті.Висновки. На показники акумуляції лужноземельних металів рослинами конопель посівних істотно вплинули: концентрація сполук певного хімічного елемента в орному шарі ґрунту, рівень енергетичного (світлового) забезпечення рослин у процесі вегетації, сортові особливості конопель посівних, етапи органогенезу рослин і специфічні особливості їх наземної частини – стебел – накопичувати ці хімічні елементи, а також насінням. Встановлено сортову залежність щодо накопичення важких металів тканинами рослин і насінням конопель посівних. Для отримання екологічно чистої продукції необхідно враховувати сортові особливості рослин щодо здатності поглинати й акумулювати відповідні хімічні елементи та їхні сполуки під час вирощування культури. | Purpose. The amount of the accumulation of alkaline earth metals and their compounds by seeds and stalks of hemp plants depending on their content in vegetation soils was determined. It was found that stalks of the ‘Hlesiia’ plant accumulated strontium (Sr) and its compounds far less than that of ‘Hliana’, whereas in the seeds of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety the content of this chemical element was higher comparing with the previous variety by 70 and 78%, respectively. The difference in the accumulation of barium (Ba) compounds in seeds of hemp plants was not significant, while the tissues of the plant stalks of the ‘Hlia­na’ variety accumulated its compounds significantly more as compared to the ‘Hlesiia’ variety. The degree of influence of the variety, feeding area and the maturity stage on the processes of magnesium compounds (Mg) accumulation by plants was not revealed. Plants of the ‘Hlesiia’ variety accumulated far less calcium (Ca) and its compounds in the stalk tissues as compared to the plants of the ‘Hliana’ variety: in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants with row spacing 45 cm (a) and d – plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) in the biological maturity stage 30,94 and 15,95 mg/kg more in the presence in soil and in variants of the technical maturity stage of plants of narrow-row sowing (15 cm) and in the biological maturity stage with broad-sowing (45 cm) 34.54 and 24.19 mg/kg less in the presence in soil.Conclusions. The indices of accumulation of alkaline earth metals by hemp plants were significantly affected by the concentration of compounds of a certain chemical element in the arable layer, the level of energy (light) obtained by plants during vegetation, the varietal features of hemp, the stages of organogenesis of hemp plants and the specificity of their aboveground parts – stalks to accumulate these chemical elements as well as cumulate them by seeds. The varietal dependence as for accumulation of heavy metals by hemp plants tissues and seeds was established. In order to obtain environmentally friendly products, it is necessary to take into account the varietal features of plants concerning the ability to absorb and accumulate the relevant chemical elements and their compounds in the process of hemp culti­vation.

The indices of accumulation of alkaline earth metals by hemp plants were significantly affected by the concentration of compounds of a certain chemical element in the arable layer, the level of energy (light) obtained by plants during vegetation, the varietal features of hemp, the stages of organogenesis of hemp plants and the specificity of their aboveground parts – stalks to accumulate these chemical elements as well as cumulate them by seeds. The varietal dependence as for accumulation of heavy metals by hemp plants tissues and seeds was established. In order to obtain environmentally friendly products, it is necessary to take into account the varietal features of plants concerning the ability to absorb and accumulate the relevant chemical elements and their compounds in the process of hemp culti­vation.

Мета. Створити новий пізньостиглий високопродуктивний сорт льону-довгунця з високою якістю волокна. Методи. Польовий, лабораторний, інструментально-технологічний, статистичний. Результати. За результатами досліджень визначено основні морфологічні, господарські та технологічні ознаки нового пізньостиглого сорту льону-довгунця ‘Есмань’. Встановлено, що цей сорт характеризується високими показниками врожайності соломи (5,9–6,1 т/га), насіння (0,78–0,86 т/га), всього волокна (1,61–1,74 т/га), в т. ч. довгого (1,05 т/га). Значний вміст усього волокна (27,9–30,7%) успішно поєднується з високою його якістю. Має високу стійкість проти вилягання, осипання насіння та середню стійкість проти антракнозу й фузаріозу. За результатами Державного сортовипробування у 2016 році сорт льону-довгунця ‘Есмань’ внесено до Державного реєстру сортів рослин, придатних для поширення в Україні. Висновки. Сорт льону-довгунця ‘Есмань’ поєднує високу врожайність соломи, насіння, волокна з високою якістю останнього та стійкістю проти вилягання і хвороб. Рекомендовано для вирощування в усіх льоносіючих регіонах України. Впровадження пізньостиглого високоврожайного сорту льону-довгунця ‘Есмань’ дасть можливість одержувати високі врожаї льонопродукції та сприя­тиме підвищенню ефективності вітчизняного льонарства.

Purpose. To create a new late ripening highly productive variety of fiber flax with high fiber quality.Methods. Field study, laboratory test, instrumental and technological investigations, statistical evaluation.Results. Research results allowed to identify main morphological, economic and technological characters of a new late ripening fiber flax variety ‘Esman’. It was established that this variety is characterized by high yields of straw (5.9–6.1 t/ha), seeds (0.78–0.86 t/ha), the whole amount of fiber (1.61–1.74 t/ha) including long one (1.05 t/ha). Considerable content of the whole amount of fiber (27.9–30.7%) is successfully combined with its high quality. It has high resistance to lodging, seeds shattering and mean resistance to anthracnose and fusarium. On completion of the State variety testing in 2016, fiber flax variety ‘Esman’ was entered into the State register of plant varieties suitable for dissemination in Ukraine.Conclusions. Fiber flax variety ‘Esman’ combines high yields of straw, seeds, fiber and high quality of the latter as well as resistance to lodging and diseases. It is recommended to cultivate in all flax-growing regions of Ukraine. Implementation of the late ripening high yielding fiber flax variety ‘Esman’ will permit to obtain high yields of flax products and favor the efficiency of the domestic flax industry. | Цель. Создать новый позднеспелый высокопродуктивный сорт льна-долгунца с высоким качеством волокна.Методы. Полевой, лабораторный, инструментально-технологический, статистический.Результаты. По результатам исследований определены основные морфологические, хозяйственные и технологические признаки нового позднеспелого сорта льна-долгунца ‘Эсмань’. Установлено, что данный сорт характеризуется высокими показателями урожайности соломы (5,9–6,1 т/га), семян (0,78–0,86 т/га), всего волокна (1,61–1,74 т/га), в т. ч. длинного (1,05 т/га). Значительное содержание всего волокна (27,9–30,7%) успешно сочетается с высоким его качеством. Имеет высокую устойчивость к полеганию, осыпанию семян и среднюю устойчивость к антракнозу и фузариозу. По результатам Государственного сортоиспытания в 2016 году сорт льна-долгунца ‘Эсмань’ внесен в Государственный реестр сор­тов растений, пригодных для распространения в Украине.Выводы. Сорт льна-долгунца ‘Эсмань’ сочетает высокую урожайность соломы, семян, волокна с высоким его качеством и устойчивостью к полеганию и болезням. Рекомендуется для выращивания во всех льносеющих регионах Украины. Внедрение позднеспелого высокоурожайного сорта льна-долгунца ‘Эсмань’ позволит получать высокие урожаи льнопродукции и будет способствовать повышению эффективности отечественного льноводства. | Мета. Field experiments were based on a multifactorial scheme using split-plot method with due regard to all requirements of the field experiment procedure, analysis of variance was used for statistical processing of the obtained results. Results. Investigation data was given concerning determination of grain quality indices in winter wheat varieties of diffe­rent ecotypes after black fallow as a predecessor depending on organo-mineral fertilizer application in the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. In average for the period of investigation (2011–2015), the highest protein content in winter wheat grains was formed in no treatment variant [in such varieties as ‘Doridna’ (14.1%), ‘Dykanka’ (14.3%) and ‘Levada’ (14.2%)] and in case of organo-mineral fertilizer application [in the varieties ‘Hordovyta’ (14.0%), ‘Kalyta’ (14.0%), ‘Dykanka’ (14.7%) and ‘Levada’ (14.6%)]. The highest content of crude gluten in grains, without regard for the variant of the experiment, was found in the following varieties as ‘Dykanka’ (24.9–25.1%) and ‘Levada’ (23.7–25.4%). Conclusions. It was established that the content of protein and crude gluten in grains as well as the falling number of winter wheat was highly dependent on such factors as the variety and the year of cultivation as compared to the fertilizer background. The following varieties as ‘Hordovyta’, ‘Mulan’, Dykanka’ and ‘Levada’ were very sensitive to the application of organo-mineral fertilizer for the protein content, while ‘Hordovyta’ (2.4%), ‘Levada’ (1.7%), ‘Borvii’ (1.2%) and ‘Mulan’ (1.1%) – for the crude gluten content.

Установлено, что формирование содержания белка и сырой клейковины в зерне, а также числа падения пшеницы озимой в большей степени зависело от фактора сорта и года выращивания, чем фона удобрения.
