Purpose. To determine the level of aluminum (Al) accumulation in plants of the Brassicaceae family, which are used in agriculture as green manure and are promising plants for soil phytoremediation. The following crops were the subject of the study: oilseed radish, variety ‘Kyianochka’ (Raphanus sativus L. var oleiformis Pars. ‘Kyianochka’), white mustard, variety ‘Soniachna’ (Sinapis alba L. ‘Soniachna’), winter rapeseed, variety ‘Horlytsia’ (Brassica napus L. ‘Horlytsia’), Sarepta mustard, variety ‘Zolotava’ (Brassica juncea (L.) Czern. ‘Zolotava’), winter turnip rape, variety ‘Oriana’ (Brassica campestris var. oleifera f. biennis D.C. ‘Oriana’), tyfon, variety ‘Fitopal’ (Brassica campestris var. oleifera f. biennis DC. ´ Brassica rapa L. ‘Fitopal’). Methods. The research was carried out in the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kyiv). Plants grown as green manure crops for 56 days on grey forest degraded sandy loam soil, pH 6.5–7.0, were analysed. Aluminum content was determined using an inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometer (ICP­OES) ICAP 6300 Duo. The possibility of metal accumulation in plant tissues was assessed using the bioconcentration factor (BF). Results. Measurements showed the following content of Al in plant tissues (in abs. dry matter): oilseed radish, variety ‘Kyianochka’ – 2035.9 mg/kg, white mustard, variety ‘Soniachna’ – 687.5 mg/kg, winter rapeseed, variety ‘Horlytsia’ – 388.6 mg/kg, Sarepta mustard, variety ‘Zolotava’ – 1238.5 mg/kg, winter turnip rape, variety ‘Oriana’ – 1105.2 mg/kg, tyfon, variety ‘Fitopal’ – 854.4 mg/kg. Conclusions. Under growing conditions, the aluminum content in plants did not exceed 0.2%. All the samples studied have a BF < 1 and are not hyperaccumulators of the element according to this criterion. However, three of the investigated samples (‘Zolotava’ Sarepta mustard, ‘Oriana’ winter turnip rape and ‘Kyianochka’ oilseed radish) have an aluminum content in the above­ground dry matter of more than 1000 mg/kg, indicating a significant accumulation of this element. For the purposes of phytoextraction of aluminum, the most suitable of the plants studied is oilseed radish ‘Kyianochka’ (BF ≈ 0.4). | Мета. Встановити рівень накопичення алюмінію (Аl) у рослинах представників родини Brassicaceae, використовуваних як сидерати у сільському господарстві та перспективних для фіторемедіації ґрунтів. Предметом дослідження були такі культури, як редька олійна [cорт ‘Кияночка’ (Raphanus sativus L. var oleiformis Pars. ‘Kyianochka’)], гірчиця біла [сортозразок ‘Сонячна’ (Sinapis alba L. ‘Soniachna’)], ріпак озимий [сортозразок ‘Горлиця’ (Brassica napus L. ‘Horlytsia’)], гірчиця сарептська [сортозразок ‘Золотава’ (Brassica juncea (L.) Czern. ‘Zolotava’)], суріпиця озима [сорт ‘Оріана’ (Brassica campestris var. oleifera f. biennis D.C. ‘Oriana’)], тифон [сорт ‘Фітопал’ (Brassica campestris var. oleifera f. biennis DC. × Brassica rapa L. ‘Fitopal’)].  Методи. Дослідження проводили в Національному ботанічному саду імені М. М. Гришка НАН України (м. Київ). Рослини, що вирощували як сидерати, аналізували протягом 56 днів на сірому лісовому деградованому супіщаному малогумусному ґрунті, pH 6,5–7,0. Вміст алюмінію визначали, використовуючи оптичний емісійний спектрометр з індуктивно зв’язаною плазмою (ІCP­ОЕS) ІCAP 6300 Duo. Можливість накопичення металу в тканинах рослин оцінювали за допомогою біоконцентраційного фактора (ВF). Результати. Здійснивши вимірювання, встановили такий вміст Аl у тканинах рослин (у перерахунку на абсолютно суху речовину): редька олійна (сорт  ‘Кияночка’) – 2035,9 мг/кг; гірчиця біла (сортозразок ‘Сонячна’) – 687,5; ріпак озимий (сортозразок ‘Горлиця’) – 388,6; гірчиця сарептська (сортозразок ‘Золотава’) – 1238,5; суріпиця озима (сорт ‘Оріана’) – 1105,2; тифон (сорт ‘Фітопал’) – 854,4 мг/кг. Висновки. Вміст алюмінію в рослинах за наявних умов вирощування не перевищував 0,2%. Всі досліджені зразки мали показник BF < 1 та не були гіпернакопичувачами елемента за цим критерієм. Однак сортозразок гірчиці сарептської ‘Золотава’, сорт суріпиці озимої ‘Оріана’ та сорт редьки олійної ‘Кияночка’ продемонстрували значне накопичення алюмінію в наземній сухій масі – понад 1000 мг/кг. Найпридатнішою для фітоекстракції алюмінію серед досліджуваних рослин виявилася редька олійна ‘Кияночка’ (BF ≈ 0,4).

Purpose. To determine the breeding value of a new sunflower source with complex resistance to sulfonylurea herbicides and downy mildew. Methods. In the research process, field (hybridization, line testing, individual selection, line evaluation), visual (phenological observations), laboratory (immunological evaluation of resistance to DM), vegetation (evaluation of resistance to herbicides) and mathematical and statistical (processing of experimental data and determination of reliability of research results) methods were used. Results. During 2020–2023, new self­pollinated sunflower lines were studied in the cross­pollination and bree­ding department of the Plant Breeding & Genetics Institute – National Center of Seeds and Cultivar Investigation (PBGI – NCSCI). Based on the results of the work, 33 self­pollinated sunflower lines with complex resistance to sulfonylurea herbicides and downy mildew (DM) were created and evaluated. The lines were created using domestic breeding populations that were able to reach their full genetic potential in various conditions. These populations were adapted to cultivation in the southern steppe of Ukraine and were resistant to a complex of diseases and pests. Additionally, they had increased seed yield and plasticity. The new source material obtained is constant, stably productive lines used in the subsequent breeding programme. According to the results of the trials, almost all the hybrids obtained (F1) showed a yield of more than 1.0 t/ha. Lines with the highest level of combining ability in terms of yield (heterozygous hybrid progeny with increased viability for the main economic and valuable traits) will be selected for further research and will be involved in the creation of new hybrids resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides and DM. Conclusions. Research showed that traits such as sulfonylurea herbicide resistance and downy mildew resistance can be combined in one line. Herbicide resistance in sunflowers is easy to control in the field, while downy mildew resistance needs to be controlled in the laboratory. | Мета. Визначити селекційну цінність нового вихідного матеріалу соняшнику з комплексною стійкістю проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин та несправжньої борошнистої роси. Методи. У процесі дослідження використовували польові (гібридизація, випробування ліній, індивідуальний добір, оцінювання ліній), візуальні (фенологічні спостереження), лабораторні (імунологічне оцінювання стійкості проти НБР), вегетаційні (оцінювання стійкості проти гербіцидів) та математично­статистичні (оброблення експериментальних даних і визначення достовірності результатів дослідження) методи. Результати. Нові самозапилені лінії соняшнику досліджували у відділі селекції та насінництва перехреснозапильних культур Селекційно­генетичного інституту – Національного центру насіннєзнавства та сортовивчення (СГІ – НЦНС) протягом 2020–2023 рр. За результатами роботи створено та оцінено 33 самозапилені лінії соняшнику з комплексною стійкістю проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин і несправжньої борошнистої роси (НБР). Для створення ліній використовували популяції вітчизняної селекції, здатні реалізовувати свій спадковий потенціал у різних умовах, пристосовані до вирощування в Південному Степу України, стійкі проти комплексу хвороб і шкідників, із підвищеною врожайністю насіння та пластичністю. Одержаний новий вихідний матеріал – константні, стабільно продуктивні лінії, застосовувані в подальшій селекційній програмі. За результатами випробувань майже всі отримані гібриди першого покоління (F1) продемонстрували врожайність понад 1,0 т/га. Лінії, які мали найвищий рівень комбінаційної здатності за врожайністю (гетерозиготне гібридне потомство з підвищеною життєздатністю за основними господарсько­цінними ознаками), відбиратимуть для наступних досліджень і долучатимуть до створення нових гібридів, стійких проти гербіцидів групи сульфонілсечовин та НБР. Висновки. Встановлено, що в одній лінії можна поєднати стійкість проти гербіциду групи сульфонілсечовин і несправжньої борошнистої роси. За стійкістю соняшнику проти гербіциду легко слідкувати в польових умовах, а стійкість проти несправжньої борошнистої роси необхідно контролювати в лабораторних.

Purpose. The aim was to study the features of flowering and fruiting of the mulberry under conditions of the Right­Bank Forest­Steppe of Ukraine. Methods. The research was conducted in the forest steppe zone at the experimental base of the Institute of Horticulture of the NAAS in 2021–2023. The subject was plant material of different cultivars of mulberry (Morus alba), propagated from seed progeny of the ‘Krupnoplidna’ variety; self­fertile mulberry plants were used as a control. The morphological description of the structural elements of the reproductive organs and the study of pollen via­bility were carried out according to published methods. The fruiting of the breeding forms was evaluated on a five­point scale. Results. All plants tested were found to have the abi­lity to germinate pollen. The most viable pollen (75.1%) was found in male breeding form No. 5 after 12 hours exposure and a sucrose concentration of 50%. Exposure for 24 hours caused a decrease in germination energy of up to 63.1%. The latter was lowest in the pollen grains of plants of the triploid sample at both sucrose concentrations used. The comparison of morphological characteristics and seed productivity (per fruit) of the breeding forms of M. alba showed the genetic diversity of plants of cultivars of the species, which is manifested in the difference of phenotypic characteristics due to the variability of the range of their expression. Conclusions. The highest rates of white mulberry pollen germination were obtained for breeding form No. 5 – 79.1 ± 0.36% (male specimen) with 25% concentration of sucrose in the nutrient medium. The number of fruits formed on two­year­old shoots was 21–91. The evaluation of the fruiting of the cultivars was 4–5 points, and their infructescences were 2.26–3.97 cm long (large). In general, the study of the morphology of the reproductive organs of the breeding forms of M. alba, each of which forms filled seeds with high germination energy (91–98%), showed the intactness of the reproductive functions of mulberry, which indicates the successful passage of the plants through all stages of organogenesis. | Мета. Вивчити особливості цвітіння та плодоношення шовковиці плодової в умовах Правобережної частини Лісостепу України Методи. Дослідження проводили в зоні Лісостепу на експериментальній базі Інституту садівництва НААН упродовж 2021–2023 рр. Предметом слугував рослинний матеріал різних сортозразків шовковиці плодової селекційних форм від насіннєвого потомства сорту ‘Крупноплідна’; як контроль використовували рослини самоплідної шовковиці. Морфологічний опис структурних елементів генеративних органів та дослідження життєздатності пилку проводили згідно з опублікованими методиками. Плодоношення селекційних форм оцінювали за п’ятибаловою шкалою. Результати. Встановлено, що всі досліджувані рослини мають здатність до проростання пилку. Найбільше життєздатного пилку (75,1%) виявлено в селекційній чоловічій формі №5 за 12­годинної експозиції та концентрації сахарози, що становила 50%. 24­годинна експозиція спричиняла зниження до 63,1% енергії проростання. Остання була найменшою в пилкових зернах рослин триплоїдного сортозразка за обох використаних концентрацій сахарози. Порівняльна характеристика морфологічних ознак і насіннєвої продуктивності (в розрахунку на одне супліддя) селекційних форм M. alba показала генетичну різноманітність рослин сортозразків виду, що проявляється в різниці фенотипових ознак через мінливість діапазону їхнього вияву. Висновки. Найвищі показники проростання пилку шовковиці білої одержано для селекційної форми № 5 – 79,1 ± 0,36% (чоловічого екземпляра), за 25­відсоткової концентрації сахарози в поживному середовищі. Кількість плодів, що утворилися на дворічних пагонах, – 21–91 шт. Оцінка плодоношення селекційних форм становила 4–5 балів, а їхні супліддя були 2,26–3,97 см завдовжки (великі). Загалом, вивчення морфології генеративних органів селекційних форм M. alba, кожна з яких утворює виповнене насіння з високою енергією проростання (91–98%), показало непорушність репродуктивних функцій шовковиці, що вказує на успішне проходження рослинами всіх етапів органогенезу.

Purpose. Analysis and comparative study of daylily cultivars from the collection fund of the M. M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NBG), selection of assortment for decorative horticulture and landscaping. Methods. Cultivars from the NBG daylily collection were studied. The cultivars were evaluated in terms of their aesthetic and economic attributes, and were classified according to their coloration and the timing of their flowering. The author of the cultivar, country of origin, year of creation and introduction into the NBG were also identified. The cultivars were also grouped according to these parameters. Results. The NBG daylily collection is the result of 40 years of introduction and 20 years of breeding work with this crop at the NBG. It includes 174 world cultivars, 26 cultivars of Ukrainian breeding and more than 1000 hybrid seedlings. Most of the cultivars (79) were introduced in 2000–2009. The main part of the current structure of the daylily collection consists of cultivars bred in the 1960–1970s. Most of these are hybrids from American breeders: David F. Hall (20 cultivars) and Allen Wild (46 cultivars). A total of 15 new cultivars were developed based on the original collection. These new cultivars feature double flowers, a valuable trait for hybrids in Ukraine. For effective use in ornamental horticulture and landscaping, the cultivars were grouped according to flower colour and flowering time. The yellow­flowered group is the most widely represented. A large number of cultivars with red flowers are inherent in hybrids bred between 1980 and 1999. Cultivars from modern breeding are mostly represented by the purple and pink colour group. Most of the cultivars in the collection are early and medium early. The smallest part is made up of medium­late and late hybrids. Conclusions. The modern daylily collection is representative. The cultivars introduced into the NBG illustrate the main stages of breeding work with the crop and the achievements of breeders from different countries of the world. The collection includes early and medium early, medium, medium late and late flowering cultivars. Varying in colour and flowering time, the collection can be effectively used to extend the flowering period of daylilies by three months (from the second decade of May to the second decade of August) in ornamental gardening in Ukraine and in various landscape compositions. | Мета. Аналіз та порівняльне вивчення сортів лілійника з колекційного фонду Національного ботанічного саду імені М. М. Гришка НАН України (НБС), добір сортименту для декоративного садівництва та озеленення. Методи. Об’єктом досліджень були сорти колекції лілійника НБС. Їх аналізували за декоративними й господарськими властивостями, а також об’єднували у групи за забарвленням квітки та початком цвітіння. Групування відбувалося й за такими параметрами, як автор сорту, країна походження, рік створення та інтродукції в НБС, встановленими у процесі досліджень. Результати. Колекція лілійника НБС – це результат 40­річної інтродукційної та 20­річної селекційної роботи з цією культурою. Вона налічує 174 сорти світової та 26 української селекції й понад 1000 отриманих гібридних сіянців. Найбільше сортів (79) інтродуковано у 2000–2009 рр. Основну частку в сучасній колекційній структурі становлять представники селекції 1960–1970 рр. Більшість з них – гібриди американських селекціонерів Девіда Холла (D. F. Hall) (20 сортів) та Алена Вайлда (A. Wild) (46 сортів). На базі колекції створено 15 власних сортів зі стабільною повною квіткою, що є цінною ознакою для поширених в Україні гібридів. З метою ефективного застосування в декоративному садівництві та озелененні сорти об’єднали у групи за забарвленням квітки та початком цвітіння. Найповніше представлено групу із жовтою квіткою; її червоне забарвлення притаманне гібридам селекції 1980–1999 рр. А от сучасні сорти переважно належать до пурпурової та рожевої кольорової групи. Найбільше в колекції представників раннього та середньораннього термінів квітування; найменше – середньопізніх і пізніх гібридів. Висновки. Сучасна колекція лілійника є репрезентативною. Інтродуковані в НБС сорти ілюструють основні етапи селекційної роботи з культурою та досягнення селекціонерів різних країн світу. У колекційному фонді є представники раннього та середньораннього, середнього, середньопізнього та пізнього термінів цвітіння. Різноманітний за колірною гамою й строками квітування сортимент можна ефективно використовувати для розширення діапазону цвітіння лілійників протягом трьох місяців (з другої декади травня до другої декади серпня) у декоративному садівництві України й різних композиціях озеленення.

Purpose. To determine the structure, and color of the leaf, the bark of the branches, the habit of the crown, the linear characteristics of the plants, the features of flowering and fruiting of Liquidambar styraciflua L. and its cultivars. Provide recommendations for their use in landscaping. Methods. The subjects of the research were cultivars of L. styraciflua, which were found in arboretums, parks, squares, garden centers, nurseries and in green areas throughout Ukraine. The plants were evaluated according to a complex scale of ornamental value of woody plants, which includes four levels of ornamental value of trees and shrubs: very high, high, medium and low. The methods of observation, analysis, comparison, data summarization, photo­fixation and descriptive­taxation method were used. Results. A comprehensive assessment of the decorative effect of L. styraciflua cultivars (‘Worplesdon’, ‘Gum Ball’, ‘Rotundiloba’, ‘Albomarginata Manon’, ‘Oakville Highlight’, ‘Slender Silhouette’, ‘Fastigiatа’, ‘Pasquali’, ‘Stared’, ‘Thea’, ‘Aurea’, ‘Golden Treasure’, ‘Variegata’, ‘Golden Sun’, ‘Stella’, ‘Stella Rossa’) against species plants was carried out. Based on the results of the research, a table was compiled to help landscape architects, nursery and garden center workers, botanists and ecologists, students and staff of forestry and botanical institutions in the selection of plants. Recommendations are given for the use of L. styraciflua cultivars in landscaping. Conclusions. According to the degree of ornamentality, the vast majo­rity of L. styraciflua cultivars (13) belong to group I (very high, 65–90 points). They are recommended for use in urban and domestic landscaping and for the creation of various landscape objects. Group II (high ornamental value, 51–64 points) contains two cultivars, and group III (moderate ornamental value, 41–50 points) contains only one cultivar. | Мета. Визначити особливості будови та забарвлення листкової пластинки, кори гілок; габітус крони; лінійні характеристики рослин; особливості квітування та плодоношення Liquidambar styraciflua L. і його культиварів. Надати рекомендації для їх використання в озелененні. Методи. Об’єктами досліджень стали культивари L. styraciflua, що ростуть у дендропарках, парках, скверах, садових центрах, розсадниках та на озеленених територіях в межах України. Рослини оцінювали за комплексною шкалою, представленою чотирма ступенями декоративності дерев і чагарників (дуже висока, висока, посередня, низька). У процесі досліджень послуговувалися методами спостережень, аналізу, порівняння, узагальнення даних, фотофіксації, а також описово­таксаційним. Результати. Здійснено комплексне оцінювання декоративності культиварів L. styraciflua (‘Worplesdon’, ‘Gum Ball’, ‘Rotundiloba’, ‘Albomarginata Manon’, ‘Oakville Highlight’, ‘Slender Silhouette’, ‘Fastigiatа’, ‘Pasquali’, ‘Stared’, ‘Thea’, ‘Aurea’, ‘Golden Treasure’, ‘Variegata’, ‘Golden Sun’, ‘Stella’, ‘Stella Rossa’) проти видових рослин. За результатами досліджень складено таблицю, що допоможе з вибором рослин ландшафтним архітекторам, працівникам розсадників і садових центрів, ботанікам та екологам, студентам і працівникам лісогосподарських та ботанічних установ. Надано рекомендації щодо використання культиварів L. styraciflua у ландшафтному будівництві. Висновки. За ступенем декоративності переважну більшість культиварів L. styraciflua – 13 – зараховано до І групи (дуже висока, 65–90 балів). Їх рекомендують для використання в озелененні міст і присадибних ділянок, створення різних за призначенням ландшафтних об’єктів. До ІІ групи (висока декоративність, 51–64 бали) належать два культивари, до ІІІ (посередня декоративність, 41–50 балів) – лише один.

Purpose. To determine the level of productivity of new varieties of soft winter wheat, their stability and plasticity when grown in different soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine. Methods. The field trial was carried out in 2022–2023 under the conditions of the research stations of the Ukrainian Institute for Plant Variety Examination (UIPVE) in the Steppe, Forest Steppe and Polissia soilclimatic zones. The peculiarities of plant growth and development, the yield formation of 34 new varieties of soft winter wheat were studied. Plasticity and stability of yield formation were calculated and analyzed according to the Ebergard – Russell method, general homeostaticity and selection value according to Khangildin V.V. and Lytvynenko N.A. In the course of the research, computational and statistical methods were used. Analysis and synthesis were used to draw conclusions. Results. The yield varied from 5.4 to 8.4 t/ha, depending on the soil and climate zone and the location of the trial. The variety ‘LG Optimist’ had the highest average yield (8.1 t/ha) and ‘YUSON’ the lo west (6.0 t/ha). The most favorable conditions for the study of growth and development of genotypes in 2022 were in the Forest-Steppe (Ij = 0.9) and Polissia (Ij = 0.6) zones, in 2023 – Polissia (Ij = 0.2); the worst in 2022 – in the Steppe (Ij = –0.7), in 2023 – in the Steppe (Ij = –0.7) and ForestSteppe (Ij = –0.5) zones. In 2023, the best climatic conditions were in the Polissia zone (Ij = 0.2), the worst were in the points located in the Steppe (Ij = –0.7) and Forest Steppe (Ij = –0.5) zones. The theoretical yield values of the varieties at the research points did not differ from the actual values and averaged 7.1 t/ha, ranging from 6.0 to 8.1 t/ha. High homeostaticity and low level of variation (V ≤ 10.0%) were found in the varieties ‘Yevraziia’ (Hom = 15.6), ‘Dekaster’ (Hom = 15.2), ‘FORSAIT’ (Hom = 13.9) and ‘LG Optimist’ (Hom = 12.1). In addition, ‘LG Optimist’ (Sc = 6.9) and ‘Dekaster’ (Sc = 6.6) had the highest breeding value. The variety ‘FORSAIT’ (bi = 0.2; S2 di = 0.24), with an average yield of 7.4 t/ha, has a high plasticity, so it is recommended to grow it on extensive backgrounds and in unfavorable conditions. Varieties ‘Yevraziia’, ‘Nosivochka’, ‘SOLIFLOR CS’, ‘Mizynka’, ‘Troiana’, ‘LG Optimist’, ‘Biskvit’, ‘MIP Dovira’, ‘Etual’, ‘Tvorchist Odeska’, ‘Attribut’, ‘Epihraf’, ‘Dekaster’, ‘Epitet’, ‘Jannis’, ‘Pamiati Horlacha’, ‘Trembita Bilotserkivska’ and ‘Slava Unavy’ with a combined manifestation of high ecological plasticity bi = 1 and stability S2 di = 0 in average grain yield 7.2 t/ha, according to the genotype respond well to the improvement of growing conditions and are stable, are considered the most practically valuable. Conclusions. New varieties of soft winter wheat, when grown in different soil and climatic conditions, fully develop their genetic potential under significant changes in environmental conditions and produce the highest yield that can be obtained under ideal conditions. | Мета. Визначити рівень продуктивності, стабільності та пластичності нових сортів пшениці м’якої озимої за її вирощування в різних ґрунтово-кліматичних умовах України. Методи. Польовий дослід виконували в умовах пунктів досліджень Українського інституту експертизи сортів рослин (УІЕСР) у ґрунтово-кліматичних зонах Степу, Лісостепу та Полісся впродовж 2022–2023 рр. Вивчали особливості росту та розвитку рослин; пластичність і стабільність формування врожайності 34 нових сортів пшениці м’якої озимої обчислювали та аналізували за методикою Ебергарда – Рассела, загальну гомеостатичність і селекційну цінність – за Хангільдіним В. В. і Литвиненком М. А. У процесі досліджень використовували розрахунковий і статистичний методи, для підготовки висновків – аналізу та синтезу. Результати. Врожайність сортів залежно від ґрунтово-кліматичної зони та пункту досліджень варіювалася від 5,4 до 8,4 т/га. Найбільшим її середнім значенням характеризувався ‘LG Optimist’ (8,1 т/га), найменшим – ‘ЮСОН’ (6,0 т/га). Найсприятливіші умови для дослідження росту та розвитку генотипів у 2022 р. були в зонах Лісостепу (Ij = 0,9) та Полісся (Ij = 0,6), у 2023-му – Полісся (Ij = 0,2); найгірші у 2022 р. – в Степу (Ij = –0,7), у 2023-му – в Степу (Ij = –0,7) та Лісостепу (Ij = –0,5). Розрахункова врожайність сортів у пунктах досліджень не відрізнялася від фактичної, змінювалася в межах 6,0–8,1 т/га й становила в середньому 7,1 т/га. Високу гомеостатичність і низький рівень варіації (V ≤ 10,0%) виявлено в сортів ‘Євразія’ (Hom = 15,6), ‘Dekaster’ (Hom = 15,2), ‘ФОРСАЙТ’ (Hom = 13,9) та ‘LG Optimist’ (Hom = 12,1). Крім того, ‘LG Optimist’ (Sc = 6,9) і ‘Dekaster’ (Sc = 6,6) мали найвищий показник селекційної цінності. Сорт ‘ФОРСАЙТ’ (bi = 0,2; S2 di = 0,24), урожайність якого в середньому становила 7,4 т/га, є високопластичним, тому його доцільно вирощувати на екстенсивних фонах і в несприятливих умовах. Сорти ‘Євразія’, ‘Носівочка’, ‘SOLIFLOR CS’, ‘Мізинка’, ‘Трояна’, ‘LG Optimist’, ‘Бісквіт’, ‘МІП Довіра’, ‘Етуаль’, ‘Творчість одеська’, ‘Attribut’, ‘Epihraf’, ‘Dekaster’, ‘Епітет’, ‘Jannis’, ‘Пам’яті Горлача’, ‘Trembita bilotserkivska’ та ‘Слава Унави’ із сукупним проявом високої екологічної пластичності (bi = 1) та стабільності (S2 di = 0) й середньою врожайністю зерна 7,2 т/га за генотипом добре реагують на поліпшення умов вирощування і є найбільш практично цінними. Висновки. Досліджувані нові сорти пшениці м’якої озимої реалізовують свій генетичний потенціал і формують врожаї навіть за суттєвих змін умов середовища та вирощування в різних ґрунтовокліматичних зонах.

Purpose. To determine the main elements of ear productivity, yield and mass fraction of protein in the grain of the studied species and varieties of winter wheat, depending on the pre­sowing treatment of seeds with “Chlorella suspension”. Methods. Field trials with different varieties of winter wheat (T. aestivum, T. spelta and T. durum) were carried out in 2020–2022 at the experimental field of the MNAU’s Educational, Scientific and Practical Centre. Before sowing, the seeds of the varieties studied were treated with the biological preparation “Chlorella suspension”. Results. During the years of research, it was possible to determine the varietal response to weather conditions that influenced the formation of the main elements of winter wheat productivity. For example, the highest number of productive stems (858 pcs/m2) was produced by plants of the variety ‘Vidrada’ (T. aestivum) in the variant with pre­sowing seed treatment with “Chlorella suspension”. In 2020, spelt plants of the ‘Evropa’ variety had the highest grain weight per ear (1.21 g), but the lowest number of productive stems (435 pcs/m2). ‘Shestopalivka’ (T. aestivum) and ‘Evropa’ (T. spelta) produced the maximum grain yield in 2021 (6.92 and 5.75 t/ha, respectively), ‘Bosfor’ (T. durum) – in 2022 (5.71 t/ha). On average over the three years of the trial, the highest yield was observed in the ‘Shestopalivka’ soft winter wheat plants in the variant with pre­sowing seed treatment with “Chlorella suspension” – 6.01 t/ha, which is 0.22–2.48 t/ha more than in other variants of the trial. The lowest yield level was observed in spelt plants of varie­ty ‘Zoria Ukrainy’ in the seed treatment with water (control variant) – from 2.74 t/ha in 2020 to 4.12 t/ha in 2022. The mass fraction of protein in grain in the variant with the use of “Chlorella suspension” among T. aestivum and T. durum varieties was distinguished by ‘Vidrada’ (15.8–15.9%) and ‘Lincor’ (14.6%), among T. spelta varieties – ‘Zoria Ukrainy’ (20.2%). Conclusions. The developed elements of the technology of winter wheat cultivation allow to increase the yield and quality of grain in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine, which confirms the relevance of this field of research. | Мета. Визначити основні елементи продуктивності колосу, врожайність та масову частку білка в зерні досліджуваних видів і сортів пшениці озимої залежно від передпосівної обробки насіння біологічним препаратом «Суспензія хлорели». Методи. Польові дослідження різних сортів пшениці озимої (T. aestivum, T. spelta та T. durum) проводили у 2020–2022 рр. на дослідному полі Навчального науково­практичного центру МНАУ. Перед сівбою насіння обробляли біологічним препаратом «Суспензія хлорели». езультати. Вдалося встановити сортову реакцію на погодні умови в роки досліджень, що вплинуло на формування основних елементів продуктивності пшениці озимої. Так, максимальну чисельність продуктивних стебел (858 шт./м2) сформували рослини сорту ‘Відрада’ (T. аestivum) у варіанті з передпосівною обробкою насіння «Суспензією хлорели». Рослини пшениці спельти сорту ‘Європа’ у 2020 р. відзначилися найбільшою масою зерна з одного колоса (1,21 г), але найменшою кількістю продуктивних стебел (435 шт./м2). ‘Шестопалівка’ (T. aestivum) та ‘Європа’ (T. spelta) сформували максимальну врожайність зерна у 2021 р. (6,92 та 5,75 т/га відповідно), ‘Босфор’ (T. durum) – у 2022 р. (5,71 т/га). В середньому за три роки досліджень найвищу врожайність мали рослини пшениці м’якої озимої сорту ‘Шестопалівка’ у варіанті з передпосівною обробкою насіння «Суспензією хлорели» – 6,01 т/га, що на 0,22–2,48 т/га більше, ніж в інших варіантах досліду. Найнижчий рівень урожайності спостерігали в рослин пшениці спельти сорту ‘Зоря України’ за обробки насіння водою (контрольний варіант) – від 2,74 т/га у 2020 р. до 4,12 т/га у 2022 р. За масовою часткою білка в зерні у варіанті з використанням «Суспензії хлорели» серед сортів T. aestivum і T. durum вирізнилися ‘Відрада’ (15,8–15,9%) та ‘Лінкор’ (14,6%), серед сортів T. spelta – ‘Зоря України’ (20,2%). Висновки. Розроблені елементи технології вирощування пшениці озимої дають змогу підвищити врожайність та якість зерна в умовах Південного Степу України, що підтверджує актуальність цього напряму досліджень

Purpose. To determine the elements of productivity of new winter wheat varieties of the Myronivka breeding in the conditions of the central Ukrainian Forest­Steppe, depending on the predecessors and sowing dates. Methods. The research was conducted in 2019–2021 in a four­factor experiment on the fields of the V. M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat of NAAS (MIW), located in the central part of the Ukrainian Forest­Steppe. The subject of the research was the processes of productivity formation of soft winter wheat; five new varieties of Myronivka breeding (‘MIP Fortuna’, ‘MIP Lada’, ‘MIP Yuvileina’, ‘Avrora Myronivska’, ‘MIP Lakomka’) were compared with the standard (‘Podolianka’). The trials were designed according to two predecessors – the common sunflower and soybean; sowing was carried out on 25 September and 5 October with a deviation of 1–3 days. Results. According to the results of the research, the optimal growth and development of the plants of the soft winter wheat varieties in the corresponding phenological phases, as well as the formation of the ear during the gro­wing season were ensured. The best vegetation period was in 2019, when the length of the central ear was more than 10.00 cm. Taking into account the influence of the sowing date after predecessors such as the common sunflower and soybean, the varieties ‘MIP Lada’ and ‘MIW Fortuna’ proved to be stable in terms of central spike length, providing high plant productivity. An important element of the latter is the number of grains in the spike, which was highest in ‘Avrora Myronivska’ (61 pcs) in 2021 at the second sowing date. Grain weight values from the central ear also depended on variety, sowing date and predecessor. A direct correlation between the studied productivity indicators and yield was found. Conclusions. Following an analysis of the indicators of productivity formation, three valuable winter wheat varie­ties were identified as being suitable for cultivation in the Central Forest­Steppe of Ukraine. These are ‘MIP Fortuna’, ‘MIW Lada’ and ‘MIW Lakomka’. | Мета. Визначити елементи продуктивності нових сортів пшениці озимого типу розвитку миронівської селекції в умовах Центрального Лісостепу України залежно від попередників і строків сівби. Методи. Дослідження проводили впродовж 2019–2021 рр. у чотирифакторному досліді на полях Миронівського інституту пшениці імені В. М. Ремесла НААН (МІП), розташованого в центральній частині Лісостепу України. Об’єктом досліджень слугували процеси формування продуктивності рослин пшениці м’якої озимого типу розвитку; предметом – п’ять нових сортів миронівської селекції (‘МІП Фортуна’, ‘МІП Лада’, ‘МІП Ювілейна’, ‘Аврора Миронівська’, ‘МІП Лакомка’), які порівнювали зі стандартом (‘Подолянка’). Досліди закладали після двох попередників – соняшнику однорічного та сої культурної; сівбу здійснювали 25 вересня та 5 жовтня з відхиленням 1–3 доби. Результати. За результатами досліджень забезпечено оптимальний ріст і розвиток рослин сортів пшениці м’якої озимого типу розвитку у відповідні фенологічні фази, а також формування продуктового органу колоса впродовж вегетації. Найліпшим вегетаційним періодом відзначився 2019 р., коли фіксували довжину центрального колоса понад 10,00 см. Зважаючи на вплив строків сівби після таких попередників, як соняшник однорічний і соя культурна, стабільними за ознакою довжини центрального колоса виявилися сорти ‘МІП Лада’ та ‘МІП Фортуна’, що забезпечили високу продуктивність рослин. Важливим елементом останньої є кількість зерен у колосі, яка була найбільшою в сорту ‘Аврора Миронівська’ (61 шт.) 2021 року за другого строку сівби. Значення маси зерна з центрального колоса також залежали від сорту, строку сівби та попередника. Встановлено прямий зв’язок між дослідженими показниками продуктивності та врожайністю. Висновки. Проаналізувавши показники формування продуктивності, виділили цінні сорти пшениці озимого типу розвитку, придатні для вирощування в Центральному Лісостепу України. А саме: ‘МІП Фортуна’, ‘МІП Лада’ та ‘МІП Лакомка’.

Purpose. To study the formation of the productivity of the ‘Hoverla’ soybean variety using different elements of cultivation technology.  Methods. Field, laboratory, statistical (calculation­comparative, mathematical­statistical). Results. The effectiveness of spring chisel ploughing for the cultivation of the soyabean variety ‘Hoverla’ in the soil and climatic conditions of the  Prykarpattia region was established. The positive effect of the studied tillage methods on the phytosanitary condition of the crop was noted. In particular, the combination of autumn ploughing and spring chisel ploughing with the application of N30P30K30 mineral fertiliser and double foliar spraying of crops with a growth regulator led to an increase in the competitiveness of plants against weeds and reduced the number of weeds by 46.2% compared to the control. The implementation of the above measures also contributed to an increase in yield to 2.48 t/ha, or 57.0% on average over three years. At the same time, the yield of forage units and digestible protein increased by 1.35 and 0.3 t/ha respectively. Conclusions. Spring chisel ploughing, together with autumn ploughing and a rational combination of the predecessor’s by­products, the proposed doses of mineral fertiliser and growth regulator in the conditions of the Prykarpattia region, helped to reduce the weediness of crops by 46.2% and increase the yield of the ‘Ho­verla’ soybean variety by 57.0%. | Мета. Дослідити формування продуктивності сорту сої культурної ‘Говерла’ за використання різних елементів технології вирощування. Методи. Польові, лабораторні, статистичні (розрахунково­порівняльний, математично­статистичний). Результати. Встановлено ефективність весняного чизелювання за вирощування сої культурної сорту ‘Говерла’ в ґрунтово­кліматичних умовах Прикарпаття. Відзначено позитивний вплив досліджуваних способів обробітку ґрунту на фітосанітарний стан посівів. Зокрема, поєднання зяблевої оранки з весняним чизелюванням за внесення мінеральних добрив N30P30K30 та дворазового позакореневого обприскування посівів регулятором росту зумовило підвищення конкурентоздатності рослин проти бур’янів та знизило чисельність останніх на 46,2%, як порівняти з контролем. Виконання вищевказаних дій також сприяло збільшенню врожайності до 2,48 т/га, або на 57,0%, у середньому за три роки. Водночас зріс вихід кормових одиниць та перетравного протеїну – на 1,35 і 0,3 т/га відповідно. Висновки. Весняне чизелювання разом із зяблевою оранкою та раціональним поєднанням у системі удобрення побічної продукції попередника, запропонованих доз мінеральних добрив і регулятора росту в умовах Прикарпаття сприяли зниженню забур’яненості посівів на 46,2% та підвищенню врожайності сорту сої культурної ‘Говерла’ на 57,0%.

Мета. Установити прояв комплексу ознак сортів обліпихи крушиноподібної, використовуючи кластерний аналіз для групування ідентифікаційних морфологічних якісних і кількісних господарсько-цінних характеристик за проведення тесту на відмінність. Методи. Аналітичний (аналіз бази даних сортів), порівняльного оцінювання морфологічних і господарсько-цінних характеристик, математичний, статистичний [використання пакета SPSS (статистичного пакета для соціальних наук, англ. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)] інструментів Data Mining. Результати. Проведено частотний аналіз морфологічних ознак колекції сортів H. rhamnoides. Останні згруповано за допомогою ієрархічного агломеративного кластерного аналізу з використанням таких змінних, як життєва форма рослини, положення гілок і кількість колючок пагона. За результатами виокремлено шість кластерів. Також встановлено найліпші за господарсько-цінними показниками сорти обліпихи крушиноподібної в розрізі груп стиглості. Висновки. Використання кластерного аналізу для групування загальновідомих сортів колекції обліпихи крушиноподібної за морфологічними та господарстько-цінними характеристиками дає змогу оперативно та точно встановити код прояву ознак (QL – якісні, QN – кількісні, PQ – псевдоякісні) та їхню відмінність. За результатами порівняння встановлено, що найвищі показники врожайності мав сорт ‘Орендж Революшн’; вмісту вітаміну С ‒ ‘Дора’, каротину ‒ ‘Морквяна’, вітаміну Р ‒ ‘Татйана’, ‘Ласунка’, ‘Єва’ та ‘Марійа Брувеле’. | Purpose. To determine the manifestation of a complex of sea buckthorn (Hipporhae rhamnoides L.) varieties characteristics using cluster analysis for grouping of identifying morphological, qualitative and quantitative economic and valuable characteristics during the test of difference. Methods. Analytical (analysis of the variety database), comparative evaluation of morphological and economically valuable characteristics, mathematical, statistical [using the SPSS package (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences)] Data Mining tools. Results. The frequency analysis of morphological characters of the collection of H. rhamnoides varieties was carried out. The latter were grouped by means of hierarchical agglomerative cluster analysis using variables such as plant life form, branch position and number of shoot spines. Six clusters were identified from the results. The best sea buckthorn varieties in terms of economic value were also identified in terms of maturity groups. Conclusions. The use of cluster analysis to group known varieties of the sea buckthorn collection by morphological and economic characteristics allows to quickly and accurately establish the code of the characteristics (QL – qualitative, QN – quantitative, PQ – pseudo-qualitative) and their difference. According to the results of the comparison, the highest yields were found in the variety ‘Orange Revolution’; vitamin C content – ‘Dora’, carotene – ‘Morkviana’, vitamin P – ‘Tatiana’, ‘Lasunka’, ‘Eva’ and ‘Marija Bruvele’.
